“I stayed at this hotel for three nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and tidy. Although there isn’t any air conditioning, there is a fan. I didn’t miss having air conditioning, as the room didn’t get too hot, even though I was staying on the top floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. “The ground floor room was fine, with easy access to the parking area. The shower room was very clean and modern; the bedding was immaculate on a comfortable bed; it was a shame the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. “Very clean and tidy and welcoming”

“We were surprised to be told that the kitchen was closed that evening due to an illness of the chef when our dinner reservation was accepted that afternoon by the receptionist. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a bar, but the white wine was undrinkable. The continental breakfast was of a poor standard.”

“It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in.”
