“If you are looking for a place to gather with family and friends, this is a great choice. We stayed in November to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday, so the lake was not a huge draw. The water level was down by the house this time of year and not useable (we knew this and didn’t plan to have a boat). We chose this place as the location was central for us and it was large to accommodate our group of 20. Plenty of beds, kitchen was large with two of everything, and two large tables for dining....

“We had an extended family vacation and really liked this property. It is in more of a secluded part of the lake in a smaller inlet, but still deep enough to take the slide off the deck into the lake. It is close to the jump bridge too. The hot tub may just need more frequent cleaning but we still used it an enjoyed it. The community pool was used for the little ones too. Just be careful as there are a lot of steep hills so getting around usually takes a vehicle. Great property to stay at!”

Views of lake obstructed by trees but that seems to be the case for most homes on this lake. Easy access to gas, groceries, etc.. and marinas were just a short drive away. "The building is beautiful, as is the park. I think the staff who checked us in need to improve their customer service. However, the restaurant staff and checkout staff were wonderful. The hotel smells awful, and the room cleaning is terrible. It's a great shame since the building is beautiful and the natural surroundings are a unique wonder. I hope the hotel's management improves its cleanliness and renovates the facilities. The hotel has beautiful surrounding areas, but they literally look abandoned. The visitor center is beautiful, as is the natural beauty of the place. It's truly a great shame that the hotel is so dirty and abandoned."
