“The room was clean. A bit dated some mould in the bathroom not very good as my daughter's asthma. Did not complain cuz it was the only family room they had.”

“Excellent location and wonderful room”

“Lovely quiet accommodation just a few miles outside Scarborough good breakfast owner very friendly would recommend this B&B”

“No esta muy limpio El baño incomodo la ventana daba a los depósitos de basura y hubo mucho ruido en la mañana”

“Great stay, clean room with all the facilities you need. Friendly staff and great breakfast. On street parking right outside the hotel (£5 for a 2 night stay) Would happily stay there again.”

“Great location & lovely spacious room. Communication was exceptional & everything was easy to understand. We would recommend staying here as it’s very quiet but so easy to get into Whitby & a few metres from the beach. We have already said we want to stay again.”

“Room very basic and run down with curtains that didn’t close properly Very small shower cubicle, my husband struggled to move once in there. Beds very uncomfortable so didn’t get a decent sleep”

“Lovely room, comfortable beds. Nice couple who run/own the place. Smashing breakfast. Highly recommend.”

“We had a lovely stay at The Russell. The rooms were clean and comfortable despite the high temperatures. The owners were friendly and the breakfast was superb. Off road parking was available and free on road parking. Just a short walk away from the Open Air Theatre.”

“We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings”

“Lovely place to stay and great breakfast too. Incredibly quiet and comfy.”

“Amazing little place right in the heart of Whitby. Location is perfect, very clean and very quiet. Staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again”

“Amazing location although originally hard to locate host. Ensure you provide contact information example telephone number as this is a personal estate. We highly recommend especially for location and parking is included in price. Thank you Nathan”
