“This place was a wonder spot to explore the area. Our hosts were very welcoming. The Chateau is extremely well decorated and restored. The rooms are large and have every luxury. There is a wonderful dog at the property that is very friendly. For those that have an expensive car that they do not want scratched by a happy dog jumping up, best to park before the property and walk in. Let the owners know you have arrived and they will make sure that Skye is in the house until you park.”

“The property is a medieval castle and guest house set in peaceful and picturesque area. The property is obviously old and large and does require considerable upkeep and maintenance, and there were a couple of issues during our stay that were disappointing.The freezer in the main house did not work. When I reported this to the owner / management company I was informed they were aware of this fact but could not do anything about it during our stay. It was not communicated by the representatives...

“We were with 8 adults and had a lovely stay in the Perigord region with quiet surroundings. Just the sound of a lot of birds keeps you awake during the day. The castle is very well equipped and decorated and not to big, neither to small. It fits the number of guests very good. You can visit several nice little towns(one or two stars Michelin!) but make cycle or walking tours as well. In short: lovely castle and park, everything you need is there.”

“Great house for large family. Very comfortable. It was extremely hot when we stayed and we managed to survive well with equipment provided and of course that fantastic pool. Xavier is a wonderful host and on hand for anything you might want to ask, plus recommendations should you need them. So the service was very good. The location is good, 4* For a 5* review we advise the owners to do more in terms of maintenance.”
