We had some awesome chats with lewis in particular during our short stay and can see hes destined for big things in his life! “As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. ”

“This was only intended for an overnight stay on a business trip - somewhere to sleep. However, this is a really lovely pub! We stayed for dinner and a few beers, which was both really tasty and excellent value, and breakfast was also first-class. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - just a really enjoyable stay. The room was absolutely fine, bed was comfy and the shower was good. I'd definitely stay here again. ”
