It was a great quiet retreat from all of the city activities that we were also enjoying. Check in couldn't have been easier. Communication with the owner was easy. “The home is large and had plenty of space for our family to spread out. The home is right on the water and has lovely views early in the morning. Would be nice to have some outdoor furniture to sit out and enjoy the sunrise. The kitchen has the basics: dishes, silverware, pots and pans, dishwasher, cups, coffee maker, etc. It was missing trash bags though. Through no fault of the owner, the water coming out of the faucet is less than ideal. I recommend picking up bottled water on your way in....

“Our family enjoyed our vacation at Island Girl. We arrived after dark. Laurie left the lights on for us. This property is well furnished and clean. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed using the kayaks, fishing from the dock, and relaxing in this quiet and scenic location where there is an abundance of wildlife. It is located just a short drive from the French Quarter. I do recommend bringing plenty of drinking water and bug repellent.”
