“Extremely convenient for any activities on UWS and easy access to Central Park and public transport. Small, as expected for NYC. Communication for check-in was a bit confusing, but worked out. Got no reply to a followup question- we had only one key so that required a lot of coordination with my family member. Bathroom was a bit mildewy and towels had stains, but sheets very clean and soft. Kitchenette is functional. Overall we were happy with the stay, especially the location.”

“I wanted so much to love this place. It was a location that I hoped that I could use again and again but unfortunately there was no building provided heat on the first night of the stay. Only a small electric heater that took a lot to track down from the host. I had to wear my coat that first night. I was very dissatisfied with the correspondence with the host. So much about the space was good, but no heat was a deal breaker.”

“Well, for those who book on VRBO and end up with NYCShortStays you should know you will not get your check in details until about 45 minutes before your check-in time. They also charge very high fees if you want an early check-in time. It was 229 to check-in two hours before our scheduled time. We didn't get to stay in the original property that we booked on the upper west side because the ceiling caved in the bathroom right before we arrived, so they gave us another property in Hell's Kitchen...

“We visited New York for a few days to see some shows on Broadway and experience the city. The location was perfect, a few blocks from Central Park, a few blocks from the bar, close to the metro, great restaurants. Interestingly, the original apartment we rented had some problems with electricity, but Carmen was very responsive and made other living arrangements for us close by, which were very satisfactory, and we ended up having a wonderful time despite the initial hiccup.
