  • Welcome to Lazy Bear!

    This private wooded setting property is perfect for your family and friends,
    Enjoy the hot tub, relax in the den and enjoy the outside deck.Bring your bikes and gear and store them in the secure garage, while still enjoying all that Asheville has to offer as less than 20 minutes away!

    Our home features an open floor plan and vaulted ceiling where you can cook, relax and enjoy some time with family and friends. The living room has lots of comfy seating a large TV. There is a bedroom on the main level that features a queen bed. Four upstairs bedrooms include a master suite with king bed and private bath. There are three guest bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen bed.

    Local Attractions:
    Turgua Brewing and Whistle Hop Brewing are with in couple of miles.
    Very close to Hickory Nut Gap Farm and Bearwallow Mountain.
    Blue Ridge Parkway is only about 10 minutes away.
    Asheville downtown and the Biltmore Estate are about 15 minutes drive.
    Airport is less than 20 minutes.

    Home Details:
    Sleeps: 12 , 5 bedrooms (1 King , 5 Queen) and 3 bathrooms(Full bathrooms).
    Starlink Satellite Internet
    2 nights minimum

    Pets are allowed , please let us know. There is a $135 non-refundable per pet fee with a limit of 2 dogs per booking.

    Early Checkin/Late Checkout is possible and is completely based on the Cleaning Schedules and other reservations.

    The home offers great amenities including a hot tub, propane based grill, corn hole boards, Table Tennis , Foosball table, Poker chip set and board games!

We loved our stay here! The host was very helpful and communicative in advance to ensure we had all the information we needed to enjoy your stay. The beds were very comfortable, the entire house was tidy and clean, and the gameroom was a nice way to keep kids (and adults) occupied.

The location was close to all conveniences: grocery stores,clothes shopping and local arts and crafts. The game room and the Jacuzzi was so entertaining for my family. We rented the house for a wedding we were attending locally and it was a perfect place to come back and relax and be together as a family before during and after the wedding. I would definitely stay there again.

Girls Trip

We had such a wonderful stay at LazyBear! The house and property were beautiful, very clean and super comfy. Our host made sure we had everything we needed. I will stay there again and again!

Great for family and groups

Thanks for hosting my family and I for a beautiful weekend in a scenic setting close to downtown Asheville. The place was stocked, clean, and spacious. We also enjoyed the hot tub and comfortable beds. Hope to visit again.

Weekend stay

We had a great experience with this property all the way through the process. The home was great for our weekend in Asheville and lacrosse tournament. It was perfectly located with easy access to everything we needed.

Memorial Day weekend

Perfect birthday retreat

We had an amazing time at this home! The kitchen was excellent for our group of 8 to cook a big dinner and just hang out in. We spent very night enjoying the hot tub. It was a short drive to downtown Asheville. All of us thought it would be an adorable place in winter too!

This listing is perfect for a large group! All the rooms have comfy beds, the hot tub is spectacular and the location to everything was nice - only about 15-20 from downtown Asheville! The driveway was very steep, some cars had trouble getting up then back down but all cars did make it, even without 4WD. The master bedroom is huge with an amazing bathroom. The other three rooms that share the top floor with the master only have one bathroom to access so be mindful of that. Overall it was an amazing place, the game room was a nice perk and again the size for large groups was top notch. Thank you for being pet friendly, it truly was the cherry on top!

Bachelor Party in Fairview!

This was a great house for a group of friends! Plenty of room and beds. The hot tub and games in the garage were a great touch. Short drive to Asheville, we had no issues securing ubers or Lyfts. Definitely would recommend this to others visiting the area.

Great Property

Our stay was great! We were able to get in earlier than expected! And everything was very clean! We had issues getting Ubers and the driveway was a little steeper than expected but overall we had a great trip and the home was perfect for our group!

Beautiful scenery

This was a beautiful place to stay. We really enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong. Only suggestion would be to upgrade the linens. The sheets and towels were scratchy and sheets wouldn't stay hooked on the mattress. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Family Reunion

This is a great house! We enjoyed our stay there, the hot tub and game room were an added plus. Will say the road getting there is a little rough, but you are in the mountains. With a crowd, having the large kitchen and living areas is a plus. We also enjoyed the porch and Asheville’s great weather. Perfect for a large family.

Stunning home away from home.

Absolutely beautiful home and looks just like the photos. The beds are super comfortable and the hot tub was easy to use and my favorite part! The only thing I will say, is the driveway was gravel, and you have to go up a hill, my car didn’t have a problem but my sister’s car had a slight issue and her tires spun a little. Other than that, I will absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful, Relaxing Mountain Home

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This mountain house is in a quiet, peaceful location, with a lot to do and see within about a 20 minute drive. It was spacious, very clean, and everything seemed brand new. Getting to it is a little tricky, but once you're there, you know what to expect.

Great group trip house

The house was perfect for a girls trip. Very clean. About a 15 minute drive into Asheville which was very easy. Great porch for hanging out as well. We also had a group called Friends & Neighbors come in for a cooking class/catered dinner for dinner one night and the kitchen is perfect for that if you are looking for something different while there. Girls Weekend Stay

The house was perfect for our weekend trip! Everything was very clean. The outside space and hot tub was great and was used every day. The area feels secluded, which we really liked. It can take some time to connect to an uber/lyft, but we were always able to get one. The shower pressure is not the best for a group of women, but that is probably the only complaint. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're a big group looking for somewhere a little more secluded to stay.
