House was very comfortable. Shower was excellent. Bed was good. Quiet neighborhood. We cooked several breakfasts and gas stove was easy. Sitting outside on those Adirondack chairs in the morning with coffee was very nice.

The location was perfect! Walking distance to Old Town and Thorpe Park. The bathroom was great, nicely remodeled and clean. We looked at the stars through the skylights while laying in bed.

If I could give more stars I would. This cottage was the perfect escape from the Phoenix heat!The check in process was seamless. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked. Whoever decorated this cottage has great taste. The crab apple tree and wild sunflowers only added to the overall charm. My husband, fur baby and I look forward to coming back next year.

The property was clean, updated, and in a perfect location to explore downtown. It was also a short walk from parks that our dog enjoyed. The check-in process was seamless, and the house included everything we needed. The cottage had a comfortable place to sit outside. Even though the other two units on the property were rented during the time we were there, we didn't run into other guests in the shared yard. The yard is fully fenced, but we chose to leave our dog on her leash because there was not a way to keep her of the private areas designated for the other units - she is very curious and is deaf, so doesn't have good recall. I am deducting one star because the bedroom was uncomfortably warm. We were there during the summer, and the upstairs AC did not cool the bedroom. It did not reach a comfortable sleeping temperature until around 2 AM. For reference, we are from Phoenix and set our home thermostat at 79 in the summer, so we aren't used to sleeping in a really cool house.

Cute cottage but needs some attention

The kitchen and bathroom are lovely but there was a lack of comfort in the furniture. The bed was very very firm which could be made better by a mattress topper. I sleep on a firm mattress at home but the bed in this unit was next level firm. The couch was a very small loveseat and there was no side table or coffee table near it. I informed the manager about the extreme firmness of the bed but no solution was offered. I do think this could be easily fixed with a mattress topper.

Location, location, location

This property is exactly as advertised: cute, clean, functional, and perfect for a single or couple. House is easy to find and a quick walk to the historic downtown with exceptional restaurants and shops. Not only is this purple house central to everything Flagstaff, but it served as our base for Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Sedona, and Page. All are 60-120 mins away. We were originally planning on staying two nights in each place, but are so happy we changed the plan and found this house for a full week!!! It was really nice having a home base for our northern AZ visit.

Quick business trip from Tucson

Had to travel to the north country for a two night work commitment and wanted to have a cozy, convenient and colorful base to rest. Dan’s guest house perfectly met the brief. I really appreciated the attention to details like the water fixtures, the artwork, the in-house speakers, the gleaming kitchen appliances, motion activated night lights and the radiant heated floors. We had a lovely stay and will happily return again!

Perfect spot

We enjoyed our visit to Flagstaff. The home is super cute and clean! Nice quiet location close to downtown with lots of historic homes and buildings nearby. We would love to come back again and spend more time!

Flagstaff Base

We used the house as base as we visited Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, and 4 other National Parks. It was great to come home to the house every night. I wish the seating in the living room was a bit more comfy but we werent there much for it to be a big deal.
