Great house and location!
We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean home and property. We were about 15 minutes South of downtown Fredericksburg, which was perfect since we were hitting state parks in the area: LBJ & Pedernales Falls.
Nice country setting next to the regional airport, which allowed us to watch planes take in & out throughout the day.
We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we are in the area.

We go to Fredericksburg every year close to Christmas to buy gifts for loved ones. This year we stayed at Oma's Haus. It was comfortable and still close enough to town to be convenient. We had a lovely time!

This house is like taking a step back in time. It is beautifully furnished in period style. All the comforts and amenities are there, though. Although close to the airport, it is very quiet and secluded. The exterior and interior are immaculate and well maintained. Lovely place to stay.

Clean place. Dated furniture and appliances but adequate. Lacking some items I would have assumed would be there. I had inquired about a grill. Yes, but there was no charcoal or other necessities. No cooking oil, no basic spices other than salt and pepper. No napkins, aluminum foil, plastic wrap. We have been to many rentals and these are items that should not have to be purchased by the renter for a short stay. We of course inprovised but maybe some of these may be available for future lodgers.

Nice, Clean and Convenient
Kitchen is equipped so that you can prepare full meals if you wish. Has a garage in case of inclement weather. Internet works well. Satellite TV has limited channels, but we weren't there to watch TV. The location is great! Just out of town but feels like you are in the boonies away from 'the city'. The airport next door isn't a problem. Mostly small personal airplanes with a few jets during the day. Never heard a thing after about 8pm. Would definitely consider staying again. Pricing was reasonable as well.

Just like going to grandma's house...
Oma's House is a sort of hidden gem in F-burg. We've been staying at B&Bs in the area for decades, and have seen both the selection and the cost increase exponentially over the last 25 years.
When I saw this property for this price I immediately booked it, in spite of the fact that it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles that other properties might have. Hot tub? Nope. Big screen TV? Uh-uh. Fancy adjustable memory foam air bed? Nada.
But what this property does have is late 70s and early 80s era charm, in spades. It feels just like a house I might have grown up in, from the formica counters to the cabinetry to the exterior.
Besides that, the property is fairly secluded, and except for the soft drone of small planes landing and taking off from the airport, we heard nary a sound all weekend long.
I slept like a baby at Oma's House, and that's unusual for me when I'm traveling.
Other perks:
- Absolutely 100% spotlessly clean.
- Comfortable beds.
- Nearby park and nature trail.
- Close to airport and the Airport Diner.
- Half of what it might cost to book a 2BR downtown.
We will definitely be staying here again.

We needed a place with parking for a larger vehicle, and we wanted a place close to town for convenience. Oma’s Haus was perfect! The beds were very comfortable, and the house was spotless clean. We liked how it really felt like “grandma’s house” with the antiques, vintage wallpaper, etc. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. I would gladly stay here again!

It started out a disaster, didn't have my reservation that was made 2 years ago and rolled forward. Ended up with a property more expensive and further away than originally booked. Sadly, it was take this or drive 3 hours back home. Staff was nice trying to help with limited options to accommodate the mistake.
