“We opted for the Viking Lodge as a stop between North and South Wales, and it was delightful. The lodge comes with all the required amenities, fridge, oven, stove, kettle and top notch WiFi. This is something that teenagers seem particularly fond of, and ours were no different. The lodge is set just off a farmhouse, amidst scenic rolling hills in central Wales. “Our first woodfired hot tub and 'no tv' experience. This allowed us to completely switch off and enjoy the surroundings, trees, birds, we even saw a badger! - our husky was very curious. A lovely hut, bed was really comfortable and plenty of storage for our 2night break. We used the gas hob/oven to cook our evening meals, enough crockery etc supplied. Lovely touch by hosts providing milk, bread, butter chocolate and a couple of G&Ts.”

Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. “The pictures of the property presented a cozy looking what it turned out to be was a drab, dirty and far from cozy place. The bedding was old, though seemed clean. The lights in the kitchen didn't work very well making the area dark. The show door handle was broken and there wasn't any hot water. The drainage from the show was slow that I had to turn the shower off midway through to let it drain to stop it from overflowing and flooding the room. I wasn't able to use the hotter due to the...
