There is so much to complain about, but VRBO only limits reviews to 1500 characters. So here is the gist.
Condo was not clean upon arrival. Crusty boogers on bedding, head and body hair in shower, floors not vacuumed (they were filthy). I sent the host video. They sent cleaners the next day. We still had to sleep in an unclean condo that night. (It’s just gross and unsanitary).
Master toilet leaked when flushed, flooding downstairs’ neighbor. Host sent a repairman to fix it on Monday, while we were out (with all of our belongings). Leak did not get fixed. Tuesday, host wanted access while we were away. I denied, because all of our belongings were in the condo. I agreed to be present Wednesday morning. I sat around all morning, repairman no showed. Jez (property management), basically said it's my fault because I want to be present. So now I’m without a master bathroom toilet. Super inconvenient. I offered to cancel the contract and vacate the condo. Host refused.
After hours and hours of phone calls, messages, and waiting; our seven night stay was officially sour. I asked the host to waive the cleaning fee and comp one night, since we lost the master toilet for five of our seven nights. He refunded (50% of cleaning fee and 20% for the “affected night”). However, it was 5 nights, which would have added up to 1 night. (Facepalm).
Customer service was terrible. I wasted so much time and money. In the end, incompetence and greed prevailed.
