There aren't many attractions nearby De View hotel, but it's conveniently located close to the wet market and Kek Lok Si temple. The hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere and complimentary parking.

My stay was pleasantly efficient, excellent location and feel very low density. Special mentioned and thanks to Shirlyn. When I realised left something in the room after checkout and called, she handled it so promptly. This is the kind of place we will return again

Most Satisfying Penang Stay Ever

First time staying but already had the best impression. Superb location exactly in the heart of Ayer Itam. Walking for a day around the area is fun enough. Super friendly hotel staff. Secure parking. Very comfortable room with YouTube TV. I just love everything about this hotel including its reasonable pricing!

Booked this place for my dad and his friends and they totally loved it! Morning market, great hawker food, streets stalls just around the corner great for earlybird like them. Few landmarks within 10mins drive, town area in just 20mins. Hotel building may looked small but dont be fool by it! Room was spacious, clean environments no less than 5stars hotel. Service was great too. Highly recommended of you are here to penang.

Family Time

Service is good. But the interior condition of the room is somewhat reasonable, the bathroom drainage has a slight issue whereby the flow of the water is quite slow. Suggest for breakfast to be improved on. Otherwise there is a whole stretch of street food to consider for breakfast which is cheap and good.

Everything Ok except the cleanliness.

The hotel provide simple amenities and toiletries. I do not have any complaints about it as it is not 4 or 5 star hotel. Nevertheless, I found the cleanliness is not good. I found some hairs on the bed and I requested to change the bed sheet, there are some ants on the table, we use the kettle to boil the water and we found the ants in the kettle on the next day.

Good place to stay in Penang

The reception at counter was not efficient particularly an Indian chap there. I told him I wanted my room made the morning but nothing was done. The location was convenient to the sights such as the temple and the dam.

A surprise stay with plenty of local food choices

I was asked to pay for extra for early check in. I understand they have check in time at 3pm, but as a guest to feel the unwelcome rejection to the face was not a pleasant experience to have. I was arrived at the property past 12 noon, and i was rejected to check in my room on my face unless I pay the extra (early check in). However the receipt was later review that and allowed me to checked in around 130pm (she wrote down foc early chk in 130pm on my room card enclosure). Seriously, I do not usually have this kind of experience in any other hotel includes 3-5 stars facility. This is my 2nd experience in Penang hotel within the same trip. But I never had similar encounter in other cities or countries. The bed was not very good also, it seems like it is conjoint of 2 single bed into one, where i could easily hit the center "hard-bone“ in between the 2 beds. However I must compliment a few good things about my stay, the location is wonderful, plenty of local foods and market available, I never had any issues to get food here. The TV has many programs and channels to browse from , particularly Netflix my fav. the view of the mt also. Just a little thing the rooftop was totally occupied by the restaurant, would please if there a free space for their guest to view and appreciates top view from the building.
