Catch and release only at the cabin where we caught multiple trout everyday using artificial nymphs or streamers. If you want to keep trout that you catch, the cabin is just 15 minutes from multiple sites (Rock Creek, Deep Hole, Cooper Creek, Sandy Bottom) stocked by the Dept of Natural Resources. “Overall very nice. The scenery is beautiful and lots of outdoor activities. There are a lot of birds that try to come on the porch. They do their best to keep the birds away. they have spikes at the top to keep them from landing. But the porch and porch furniture had bird poop all over it, so we did not sit out on the porch like we would have wanted to do. They could have at least cleaned the furniture and the porch floor between guests. Just an FYI. The villas are not toddler friendly. The...

“Our family of nine had an amazing time at Bear Ridge Lodge. Randy and Becky were welcoming and accommodating in every way. Our kids and grandkids loved walking the goats wirh Randy as well as being with the ducks and chickens. They also enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak. The king size beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also had an unlimited supply of firewood for the wonderful fireplace which was especially appreciated by Nana.”

“Pros-The property was beautiful and the house was spacious and clean. The hot tub was a big hit and everyone enjoyed wading in the river. The kitchen had everything we needed for the multiple meals we prepared. The beds were comfortable and the view was beautiful and peaceful. We also enjoyed the fire pit one night. “We were a group of 12 adults and we had lots of room in the house. It had all of the amenities we needed and more. The views of lookout mountain and pigeon mountain were lovely. We spent much of our visit doing things in nearby Chattanooga but did love the waterfalls near the house that Jon suggested. He was fabulous. Welcomed us to the house and showed us around.
