A new favorite escape for us, located in the mountains of Cashiers, NC.! Beautiful setting looking down on Lake Glenville! Everything was as advertised and the Nut House was very well supplied. We loved sitting on the deck looking down over the lake. We came to hike some local trails, but mostly we came to just "chill" in nature. This was a perfect nature setting, yet conveniently located near enough to restaurants and any shopping we needed. The Nut House was perfect for our plans. Very gracious and welcoming host/owners. We want to go back!

What a great week! Fabulous mountains and lake view, with quick access to town. And the house did not disappoint! Comfortable and beautiful. We cooked in some, even entertained two couples for supper, and had everything we could possibly need. The bedding is very comfy. Lots of pillow choices!My guest downstairs said the same about the guest room bedding. It was all very well-appointed. And well-built, as we couldn’t hear others through the walls. Perfect for two people. Great for an additional couple, although there’s not a closet in the guest room. The bunk room is great for little ones, but it’s moreso in the hallway, with a curtain. Their bathroom is in the guest bedroom or the upstairs hallway bathroom. But it is a lake house, with the intention of being together. And it is a beautiful place to do that. So much to love.

We had a fantastic stay at The Nut House! The views of the lake were absolutely stunning — we spent every morning with coffee (and afternoon with cocktails) on the deck just soaking it all in. The location was ideal: close to downtown, centrally located to most hikes, and just minutes from signal marina where we spent a day on the lake. The home itself was impeccably decorated and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing week in the mountains. From the cozy furnishings to the well-stocked kitchen and high-quality linens, every detail was taken care of. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful Stay

It was the perfect place to stay for our family of 5! The house was well stocked with everything and very clean! It was the perfect layout for a family with small kids and the bunk beds were a hit. The best part was the bedding and how comfortable all the beds were! We would absolutely visit this home again on our vacation to the mountains.

Wonderful Summer Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at The Nut House in mid June. The house is very comfortable and very well appointed. It has everything you need. Cashiers is just down the road. There is very easy access to a grocery store, restaurants and activities. The view is beautiful. We enjoyed time on the porch looking at the lake. I would highly recommend this house!

This was our second time to stay at this property. It is perfection. Nothing has been overlooked in order to provide for comfort and convenience. The Nut House is beautiful in itself, but those views are hard to beat. Close to town and also private and quiet.

Loved our stay very much. The view was spectacular, the house has everything and more. Everything you need in the kitchen is there. They have thought of everything!
