Stunning location right on the beach. Well equipped and comfortable for a family of four. Short drive to Tunnels beach and Hanalei Bay. We had an unforgettable stay.

Perfect beachfront spot - really enjoyed being able to enjoy the ocean from our living room! Really allowed us to experience a more raw Hawaii. The condo was exactly as described and met all our expectations along with an excellent pool and hot tub for after sunset.

Relaxing Ocean Front Condo

We had a wonderful stay in this ocean front condo. It was a beautiful location just as described and pictured. If you are looking for quiet beauty steps away from the beach this property will not disappoint.

Quiet and Relaxing Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Hanalei Colony Resort G1. Great views of the ocean and mountains and so close to the beach you we were able to relax to the sound of the waves day and night. Whale watching from the deck was great! We will be back someday!

Jungle meets ocean!

Amazing location. Everything was as advertised. Just wished the sliding glass doors would have been cleaned for our arrival and could use a table on the patio.

Perfect Location, Walk Onto The Sand

A nice condo in our favorite location. Not a luxury condo but clean and comfortable. Property managers were helpful and available. Great snorkeling 200 yards down the beach to the west.

Enjoyed Secluded Beach-Front Condo

Spent a week enjoying this spacious, recently updated condo steps from a beautiful, uncrowded beach on the north shore of Kauai. Communication with the rental co. was prompt & helpful, and the condo was clean, comfortable & well-equipped, including beach chairs and a cooler to borrow. Would love to come back again and highly recommend. perfect for a couple or parents w/1-2 children.

Perfect location!

This unit's location was exactly what I was hoping for and would recommend it to anyone wanting views and convenient beach access. The interior was ready for a remodel, but was comfortable, clean, and functional. (Who goes to Kauai to stay inside anyway?) We will definitely try to stay in this particular condo again!

Nirvana found in Haena

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This site keeps us coming back to Kauai as often as possible. Where else can you sit on your lanai for sunrise and later in the day walk 1/2 mile to watch the sun set in the sea.

Heaven on earth!

We had a constant breeze off the ocean, unbelievable. Resturant needs updating. It could be a destination unto itself! Definitely will be back!

Place was great, check-in was a little difficult but probably my fault for not making sure I had the correct information (email) upon arrival. The front desk, while not directly responsible, was helpful in my shortfall. Awesome view, comfortable temporary living, and close enough to Hanalei Bay. One-Way bridges were kind of a pain but, I personally, would deal with it again to stay in paradise.

Beautiful Stay!

A Fantastic place to stay we would book again in a heartbeat. Other reviewers complained of it being dated which was true but everything was clean and everything worked. Honestly, if the manufacture date of the kitchen sink is your vacation focus, you need to do some soul searching! And what better place to do that than literally steps from the beach!

Colony is nice

It's not a high-end resort, but not low end either. Not as quiet as we'd like (husband and wife fighting next door, people above our unit stomping back and forth all hours of the night and day) but hey, we're in Kauai, right? Grateful to be here!

Super Relaxing

Most relaxing vacation we've experienced. Hardly anyone on the beach. The sound of ocean waves all day and night. Beautiful sunrises. Met all our needs. Property manager was fantastic. Sent us text messages to keep us notified of road work/delays in the area.

Beach view

If luxury near town is what you are looking for, don’t come here. This place is for those who want to fall asleep listening to the waves and to sink your feet j to the sand ten feet from your door. The beach is right in front of you. The place is a drive out from most things and the place is a little weather worn. But who cares if you just want to grab one of the beach chairs from the closet, walk ten feet to the beach and relax! I’ll be back.

I think one of the first things people are going to be concerned with is the "no air conditioning". There is a constant breeze off the ocean that will keep you very comfortable. Actually there are times just before sunrise that you may feel cold as the temp does drop a bit lower. This condo is really right on the sand and you hear the waves all day and all night. When you lay in your bed you actually wake up to the sunrise each morning. I appreciate that the room faces the bay rather than the open ocean. From the room you are looking at the bay and the mountains to the SW. Don't miss the waterfalls on the mountain side after a good rain just off the entrance to the parking lot. The pool area and the barbques are not off the one side of the room as the photo may lead you to see. They are a short walk from the room over the path bridge. This area is very nicely appointed and very comfortable. The pool is the perfect temp to walk right in. There are palms and tropical flowers surrounding a large lawn off the pool area. The laundry is just upstairs and there is an elevator to help you too. The machines are efficient and not costly to run . I appreciated that. The room has everything you may need from beach chairs, a cooler, extra pillows and enough hangers. The kitchen was well appoointed. Everything from chip clips to BBQ tools, and placemats. Everything is very clean. Don't buy bottled water. The water on the island is excellant. This is a top notch rental.

Amazing Location and View

We could not swim or go into the water in this area because of the strong currents. Hanalei Bay for swimming and Anini Beach for snorkeling were a short drive away. The condominium was large and sufficient for our needs. It is old and because it is close to the ocean things are rusted and in need of repair. The lanai porch light did not work which was a bummer, but everything else that needed repair was insignificant. There were plenty of supplies (bring your own bath soap) and it was clean enough for us. This condominium is all about the location and the view.
