“Too many notes telling you not to scratch things. It was nothing like as described on website. Spoon holding the window fastener, other windows held together with duck tape. . Felt damp in there so needed heat. Bedding wasn’t Egyptian cotton, bottom sheet was pea green. Tap just dribbled water out of wash basin. Lane and track down to property was terrible, full of holes. We didn’t stay for breakfast or to sleep there.”

“The pub area is great with a very large garden and FREE car park. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good but if you fancy something else, there is an Italian next door or a couple of other restaurants a 2 minute walk. Room 2 was dated but very clean and large. “We had an amazing stay. Bob and Liz were lovely and friendly hosts, provided a really nice breakfast and a nice, tasteful welcome package in the fridge. The authentic cottage was a lovely and peaceful place to stay, well renovated and well accomodated. As is the case in most cottages, some of the beams and ceilings are quite low, so watch your head. “Wonderfully located in a natural setting and in short driving distance to several National Trust properties and only 30 to 45 minutes to Brighton. This is a great location if you want to combine a trip to the coast with spending time in the nature. Rooms are simple, but comfortable and the breakfast tasty and plentiful. There is a small indoor pool, including a steam room and sauna. I would definitely stay here again but hopefully the next time get a room where the television isn’t broken.”
