We truly enjoyed our stay at the coastal cottage. The layout of the property highlighted by a fantastic back patio area right on the canal was truly perfect for our needs. Being right on the canal and such a short walk to the beach.Gives you the best of both worldsquirrels to enjoy both sides of the island. We look forward to visiting this property again and many thanks to our hosts.

Great time!

The cottage was as advertised. The outside area was terrific for size, seating area and being fenced. Having linens and towels provided was so much easier. All the rooms were good size and kitchen area was plenty big. Kids enjoyed swimming in the canal. We had a great stay!

Awesome Place!

The property was fantastic. Being on the canal for swimming, fishing, and more is perfect. Then you can walk two minutes to the beach! Great location. The hosts are fantastic as well.

The home was beautiful and loved the back area with plenty of shade. Loved that the home was provided with linens, towels and water boards for kids to enjoy. Overall we loved the place. Only downside it was warmer upstairs mid day. Definitely would recommend and would stay again.

June stay

House was great for our family. The ability to have our boat directly at the house yet still be close enough to walk to the beach was a big perk. Our only issue was our boat was too big for the ramp but, it was a close drive to the public boat ramp.

Great last minute weekend before school

The property was perfect! Easy check-in and check-out. 5 minute walks to the beach and less than 10 minute drive to plenty of restaurants and stores. Peaceful neighborhood. Thank you for the quick nice getaway!

Excellent stay

My family and I stayed in June, and we had a wonderful experience! The owners were very responsive to any of our needs. The outdoor space was very relaxing and spacious, with enough for everyone to do. Just a short walk to the beach through a quiet neighborhood, we had everything we could need at this rental. Thanks for your hospitality!

Property was as advertised. Excellent patio and dock. Great location. Clean and roomy. Owners were easy to work with and responsive. My wife and I stayed there over New Years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely book again.

Absolutely perfect

Our stay was fantastic. Excellent hosts and perfect location and property. We were right on the channel with a short walk and access to public beach area. We brought fishing and crabbing gear and my boys were able to spend their time doing what they love. We also brought our paddle boards and were able to explore the channels. Home was newly renovated, clean and had everything we needed.

Lovely home on the canal.

Very clean and well maintained property. We enjoyed sipping coffee and cocktails under the large covered patio overlooking the canal. Fished a little too. Short walk to the beach. We’ll be back and hopefully bring a boat next time. Excellent location!

This is the place for you….

If you like sitting on a quiet dock, watching the water, grilling some food and relaxing…. this is the place for you. The internal design is awesome and everything is freshly updated and new. 4 bedrooms and 3 baths you can’t go wrong here. 2 blocks to a quiet family beach. We will be back.

Excellent stay

We had an excellent week long stay. Home was clean, well furnished, and they even had beach towels and chairs for us to use. My kids loved the canal out back, caught a few fish. And it's less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. Each room has a bathroom attached. And ac worked well even in the middle of 90 degree weather. Couldn't have been happier.

Family Vacation at Docks and Dunes

Absolutely loved the outside space. Being on the canal created a breeze which allowed us to eat, play games and fish without being too hot. The house was clean and stocked with all essentials needed to begin our family vacation. We had 7 adults staying, plenty of room inside and out, plenty of towels and comfortable beds. Hosts were very responsive and attentive to making sure we had everything we needed. Quick and easy walk to the beach made Docks and Dunes a great choice for a family vacation.

Best stay at the beach!

This cottage was perfect! My sister and I, our husbands, my niece and nephews, were there to celebrate my sisters 56th birthday. Although everyone came at different days, because of work schedules, so we didn’t have a full house at all times. But if we did, the rooms were perfect! They all had bathrooms, TVs, super comfortable bedding and ceiling fans. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need! Outside was a nice grill, propane, nice chairs, tables and a ton of beach toys, floats and chairs! Beach towels also! This is our third summer staying at topsail, and this was a great place for family!

Even though we are fairly local to the area several generations of my family like to rent a place at the beach every summer to relax, unwind and spend quality time together. It is sometimes hard to find a place that meets all of our needs, but this canal front cottage managed to check all of our boxes!! The main living space (plus one bed and bath) only requires one step into the house which was perfect for my mother who can't do a lot of steps. The whole back patio area and part of the side yard were fenced in which was perfect for our two dogs. We were able to bring the boat and dock it right out back. The house was plenty spacious and clean and so nice to have towels and linens included. We would definitely rent again!!

Beach get-a- way

Our stay was enjoyable! We went in August. The weather was not the best due to a storm with lots of rain. We were still able to just enjoy our family time together. Made more memories and had lots of laughter. We did get to get out some but as stated due to the weather were not able to do exactly what we wanted to do that week. Enjoy the sunshine...:) We reached out to the owners a few times and they were fast to respond. It was nice to be able to find a cute clean place that we could also bring our small furbaby with us on vacation. He also enjoyed it as well. The outside area was also nice to have to hang out as well. Thank you for the nice place to go for our family vacation.

Annual Family Vacation

Each year we choose a new place to stay at in or around TI. We are so incredibly happy we found this place. It was absolutely perfect. We travel with our boat so sometimes we run into issues as far as spacing for a trailer, large family and several vehicles. But this place we had no issues. We loved being able to have our boat right out back. We loved that their was a large area covered that all of us could hang out under and eat, play card games, etc while the kids fished in the canal- we even tied some of our floats up to the boat and relaxed in the canal. The beach is so close by. We walked there several times. The inside of the home was set up perfect especially for my elderly father who has issues with stairs. There is a bedroom on the main floor so he didn’t have to tackle any stairs. The location of this home is far enough away from all the chaos of the traffic which is lovely too! I would recommend this rental over and over again to everyone.
