“Hard to find, need better and more illuminated signs. Confusing numbering as nearby properties have some of same numbers. No food available and none nearby but the room had a microwave and mini fridge, so was ready to sort yourself out from supermarkets. Hosts provided some water in the fridge that was a nice touch. Room was warm and nicely decorated but the mattress has seen better days. ”

“This was a favorite place on our travels throughout Scotland. In a peaceful setting, everything was lovely and immaculately cared for, with many extra nice and small touches. Jane and Richard were excellent hosts, welcoming us warmly, sharing helpful suggestions, and providing a wonderful breakfast with homemade bread. This was a great stay and highly recommend! ”

“Fantastic stay at John O Groats. We had booked a double ensuite room which looked lovely. When we arrived the manager was waiting for us to ask if we would mind if they upgraded our room as the heating wasnt wasnt working. Obviously we didnt mind. Imagine our surprise when we were shown to our upgraded room. They had given us a three bedroomed, two bathroom lodge which was amazing. Warm, comfortable clean and pur luxury. We settled down by the logburner to watch the sea through the huge windows....
