  • Welcome to Hale Makai, our luxury beach home located on the beautiful and sunny west side of Kaua'i. We offer a host of amenities and a picturesque location for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation experience.

    Take your pick of comfortable seating in the spacious living room, on the screened lanai or on the deck in the front yard - all perfect for lounging, enjoying a good book or soaking up the island vibes. Adjacent to the living room is the gourmet kitchen, stocked with a variety of appliances and cooking utensils. Whether you are an experienced chef or just enjoy whipping up a quick meal, this kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals and snacks.

    Hale Makai features two spacious bedrooms. The primary suite boasts a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The other bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and ample storage space. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep.

    One of the standout features of Hale Makai is the private hot tub. Whether you want to soak after a day of exploring the island or simply relax and take in the beautiful scenery, the hot tub is the perfect place to unwind.

    Hale Makai also offers a full-service indoor laundry room, complete with a washer and dryer.

Host was very available and receptive to dealing with a minor problem and checking on us in general. The houseis terrific, a 2BR/2BA spacious and charming cottage with screened porch and hot tub. Very attractive outside plantings and sitting area.

We COMPLETELY enjoyed our stay at Hale Makai! The home was very comfortable - just as advertised! It was quiet with lovely decor and a beautiful yard and lanai. The hot tub under the stars and moon was delightful! We had everything we needed and loved coming back to the house after a day of exploring and watching the beautiful sunsets at Kekaha Beach. Even though it is located in the far west, we found it very convenient for all of our adventures. It was easy to get to anywhere from Kekaha. We go to meet one of the hosts, Chad and he gave us a ton of great tips for exploring and food. We highly recommend Hale Makai!

Wonderful stay

Liz & Chad were great with communication and had wonderful recommendations for places to see and places to eat! The property was very clean and very close to the ocean, where we found ourselves every day of our stay! If you’re looking for more authentic Kauai this is the place for you!We look forward to our next trip out!

Family vacation in Kauai

We had a nice stay at Hale Makai. The hosts were very responsive and were happy to help in anyway they could. The area is great, quiet & not a load of tourists (like me).

Great stay!

Loved staying at this place during our time on Kauai! Very clean and comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. Great access point to Waimea Canyon and Koke'e Park. Highly recommend!

Hale Makai was a wonderful place for us to stay. We stayed 4 days and it was very convenient and close to our family who live in Kekaha. The house was immaculate and decorated so nicely. Everything we needed was provided and the beds were very comfortable. We would highly recommend Hale Makai.

Enjoyable West Side

The property was perfect for us as there were 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds. We loved the private hot tub. The kitchen was well equiped and even had some spices. It was easy to ger to church as well as the beaches. We enjoyed our stay and will return againW
