We were very pleased with this condo as it was extremely clean on the inside, had an updated kitchen and sheets/towels were provided (they came sealed in plastic and placed in each bedroom). The master bed was very comfy making for a good nights sleep. We also liked that there was a downstairs and upstairs balcony, but unfortunately the birds (mostly pigeons) have made the upstairs balcony their perching place and the deck floor, railings and chair were covered in bird poop (yuk!). Maybe you could put a fake owl or something on the railing as a bird deterrent. We used the main floor balcony which is underneath the upstairs one so it only had a little bird poop on the railing which we washed off (we left the bucket for future renters). This condo is almost to the end of Kure, close to Ft. Fischer, making it a quieter area with less traffic. The beach in this area is known for it's rocks , making for a beautiful beach setting when the tide is low, but for those that like to swim, not so great. Children love it as they can crawl around the rocks and look for crabs/shells in-between the rock crevice's and seagrass. The designated parking space under the building is the largest one for that building which is great for those that have large SUV's. We had a little difficulty with the thermostat, it would be nice if there were a set of directions on how to use it. Same goes for the TV sets. We never could get the master bedroom TV set to work (we had sound only). The shower drain in the Master could use a cleaning (drains very slow) and it might be wise to put some slip resistance tape in all the showers... the downstairs one was quite slippery. One set of blinds do not work in the master bedroom (left hand side)... all the rest are fine. All in all, we had a very nice stay and yes, we would come back to this unit again. We loved that the ferry to Southport is just down the road (great ferry ride, just 30 minutes and Southport is such a cute town) and also that the aquarium is right here also (otters were so cute! The 2 story shark tank was very impressive). Lot's of places to eat at (try Fish Bites) and visit outside of Kure which made for a great vacation.
