In town for the Lake Placid Ironman competition. Anyplace south of Lake Placid would have been a challenge getting around due to the road closures. Locations north of town (Saranac Lake) were smooth sailing. Great place to stay for such a memorable event.

Excellent place to stay. Exactly what was in the pictures. Beds were comfortable, great location, owner was very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this property.

Quaint Quiet and Perfection

I had a couple of days to myself and was able to stay in this darling home. It is decorated so tastefully/modern. The shower was amazing, the location was perfect and I can’t wait to come back!

Close to everything

This is the second time staying in this house. It’s very clean and stylish. The neighborhood is friendly And close to some great restaurants downtown, We paddle the beautiful wilderness lakes and ponds close by every year and plan on renting this house again this winter.

Fall in the Adirondacks

Glorious weather for discovering the beauty of Adirondacks. Hiked Mt. Van Hoevenberg and rewarded with beautiful views of valley. House was adequate for two adults. Thank you for Folgers coffee and coffee it!!

Saranac Lake get-A-way

We spent a few nights at The Foundry and it was perfect for my wife and me. It was a quiet neighborhood but convenient to everything in the area. The property was clean, neat and the bath/kitchen/laundry were up to date. The stairs were narrow and steep, but it was as described in the listing and not a problem for us. The bed was comfortable, which was great after full days kayaking the various waterways. We would stay here again and hope to soon.

Beautiful house

This is probably one of the nicest houses I have ever rented. Very clean comfortable and welcoming. If you read the description you know about the steep stairs so no surprise there. The only bad part of the experience was leaving and having to return to my own bathroom which isn’t nearly as nice!

Wonderful location

We had a wonderful time in Saranac Lake. There was plenty of room for my husband and I and 2 teenage boys. The location was fabulous. The boys were able to walk to a local park and into town. We were able to go to the public beach to swim everyday. I was able to bike and run from the property as well. The house is cute. Plenty of pots and pans to cook with. The couch was comfy to spread out on in the evenings. Also loved that they left space for us to put our food and clothes while visiting. Definitely a great place to stay.

A nice stay

This house was clean and expectations on what was there and what was needed for checkout were very clear and reasonable. The hosts left a list of restaurants and things to do while visiting. The location, while a little on the outskirts of Saranac Lake, was no more than a mile walk to the village for entertainment. Felt very safe. Stairs were a bit steep, so it might not be a good place for small children or those with mobility issues. Other than that, very nice stay. I would recommend this place and would stay there again.

Saranac ESG weekend

Good value. Comfortable despite temperatures down to -29F. Hard getting in as code to key box had been changed. Bedroom to right at top of stairs has small rug nailed to the floor. Nail head in corner sticks up and is painful when stepped on.

Great location and property

Location is definitely the best part of this house. Just so close to everything you need or places you want to go . House was clean. Kitchen is large. Dining room table is small. Living room with small couch. But I think overall most people would be outside when staying here. Bedrooms were spacious. Overall no clutter or excess furniture. Bathroom is roomy and cute. Driveway was large so parking is easy. Stairs are steep which is in the listing but the transition at the top of the stairs out of both bedrooms made me nervous all weekend with the kids running around. I would not recommend this listing to anyone who struggles with stairs or balance.

The most well-stocked VRBO we've ever remted

It was nice to find that previous renters left unused pantry items, food, and cleaning supplies, paying it forward. Before that knowledge, we had bought the norm (paper towel, TP, condiments, food, cleaning supplies, etc.), we did the same upon departure, leaving organic frozen ground beef, pantry items, washer detergent, fabric softener, dishwasher capsules, fruit and veggies that we did not use. Hope they were enjoyed by the next guest. Super cute, modern and trendy inside- not an area of this home went untouched during renovation. Beds and bedding were SO comfortable and air conditioning worked SO well and left us SO comfortable. Stairs were a little steep as stated in the welcome folder, we had no incidents, but appreciate the warning. Railing could be tightened as much as you rely on it going up and down, especially with luggage. All in all, great rental, we enjoyed our stay and should we ever need to reside in Saranac Lake again, we would visit again. Ultimately it was not in the exact location that was beneficial to us for business, but that's no fault of the owner. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Perfect for a small group

Three of us stayed here. It is convenient to many restaurants and shops. About an hour from Wild Center, Adirondack Museum and Ausable Chasm. Kitchen and bathroom were nicely done. The breezeway was convenient for storing a cooler, beach chairs, etc. A dresser in the second bedroom would be a good addition. Overall, a pleasant stay. Loved the porch.
