“Lovely old Victorian hotel - retains a lot of old world charm, but modernised for today. Attractive to an older clientele, many of whom were returners. Food was excellent, waiting staff were great and over all we had a good holiday.”

“Fun stay right on the promenade. The room was clean and cozy. Great for 2 people for a night or two but probably a bit small for a longer visit. Friendly staff.”

“The room did not resenble what they put on the web site ,i was no able to stay there because room was dirty ,carpet was stain ,windows need cleaning ,the was loads of cigarette butts out side and dirty tables ,i woild not recommed this hotel ,they said it was 3 star but would not give it 1 star”

“Beautiful place”

“The only thing that was acceptable about the Iris Hotel is that desk staff were polite. The carpets and other surfaces were visibly dirty. Looks like the hotel had not been cleaned in months perhaps years. The sheets on the beds appeared clean but were well used. There was mold growing in the shower and a crack in the sink. The windows were sealed shut and there were water stains on the ceiling. I had booked 4 nights at the Iris but 1 night was enough and on the morning of May 29 I checked out...

“This quest house is excellent location with lovely view over the prom, they have everything from shoe horn, bath robes, cotton wool pads,ear buds, coffee,tea,water, shamppoo,conditioner,body wash, moisturiser,flannel,hairdryer ,the breakfast is fab they have thought of everything,their book in the room for info is also fab and much more, excellent stay.”
