“Thank you for a wonderful 2 day stay at The Mercure Hotel in Paignton, Devon. My husband and i stayed in a Classic Double room with a lovely big shower, they also provided towels, hair shampoo, shower gel all organic and great quality along with the hand soap. Our bed was amazing very comfortable, also great blackout curtains too. The windows don’t open in the room but the good news is you have great air con and heating at your fingertips. The Tv was 52” and fabulous with free view channels...

“On first arrival the car park had plenty of space with a gentle slope to reception. Rang the bell to check in. All very pleasant. Guys name is John and he is as nice as they come. Checked in a went to room. All very nice again. It’s what you need on a business trip. Tv. Bed. Kettle and shower. Had a beer in the bar, good selection of tap beers. I’d missed the kitchen due to my arrival time but he offered sandwiches, pizza etc out of hours. Enjoyed a few beers in the bar and got my head down....

“A wonderful hotel across the road from the beach. Check in was very easy, the gentleman was happy and informative. The room had everything we needed including a fan, clean, well kept and beautifully simple. Very quiet at night, with a comfortable bed, breakfast was brilliant with multiple choices, cooked quickly and the chef was great. “Visited for a short holiday and to visit family. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was fine. We usually stayed in premier inn at Exmouth and tried this hotel for a change. Not much difference except we had a balcony, staff were nicer and more helpful and was cheaper to stay and park. Would definitely stay again. The hotel is pet friendly so there were some people staying with their dogs. We didn’t mind.”
