“The Strutt arms was a great experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There is an Indian restaurant on site ,and also have other foods .
The standard double room was small ,but was very comfortable, it had a 37 inch television on the wall ,a portable fan,a comfy king-size bed and tea and coffee ,hot chocolate and biscuits if you feel peckish, and a complimentary jug of ice cold water as well. Internet access very good in the accommodation. Bus stop right outside if you want to...
“My husband and I came here for an overnight stay to celebrate my birthday.
We were greeted by Fiona the receptionist who was so welcoming and very friendly.
She was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble in asking for anything.
We loved our room which was spacious, clean and very cozy!
We both had a good nights sleep too.
We are both vegan and had a lovely vegan breakfast that was hot, fresh and delicious!
Service was friendly and quick too.

“Habíamos reservado 3 habitaciones y al llegar solo les quedaban dos, me pareció un gesto muy feo y tuvimos que repartirnos entre las otras dos. Al día siguiente el manager fue amable y nos dio 3 suites y unas bebidas de cortesía por las molestias y no nos cobraron la habitación que compartimos. Gracias a eso la puntuación no es menor pero el inconveniente le sufrimos y lo peor de todo no fue que ganarán dinero vendiendo una habitacion reservada sino que si no hubiéramos ido nos la hubieran...

“Take yourself back in time to an era we all want to recreate away from this troubling world. I was hoping for a spitfire to zoom overhead at anytime. A beautiful location within the Chatsworth estate in old style properties with plenty of character. Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat.”

“Decent sized room and bed and bathroom was clean. Room carpet let it down with some horrible stains on it and floor boards were creaky throughout the hotel. We have a yearly family get together nearby so location was good and we will likely return next year if prices are competitive. Air conditioning was good in the room and made a big difference.”

“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
