“This house is exactly as described. Room for 8 (if 2 are thin and short or are children). The host is very communicative and helpful. The check in and check out process is very easy. There are games in the basement and the host has a whole shed of snorkels, fins, chairs, beach equipment, etc. Really great if you've come from far and obviously couldn't pack your own.Why this house might not be for you: it is rural. If you want to go to Kona it's 1 to 1 1/2 hours away. Volcanoes NPS is about 2...

“We had such a great time. when some of us wanted to go to the beach and some wanted to stay at the house it went safe and they were content. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We cooked together and there was plenty of room for everyone of the 6 of us.”

“A nice location away from the hustle and bustle of Kona but within reach of Captain Cook and Volcanoe / Hilo areas. “This entire experience was nothing short of amazing. At first I was apprehensive to live completely off the grid but after staying here I would definitely do it again. When we first arrived the host met us, gave us an entire tour of his property, including his beautiful animals as well as explaining what it’s like to live off grid. “The house is very clean and well set up with a view of the ocean and very little view of the surrounding houses due to the tree canopy. The lanai is very comfortable and I could pretend to be outside even when I was feeling too lazy to actually go out. We were close enough to the ocean to hear it, which was lovely, and there are doves and cardinals in the trees, calling to each other all day. It was quite charming.
