Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good points, location, location. The condo was well located, a very short walk from the elevator to the water. Bad points, very little parking, hard to get in and out of the available parking. If the condo was full there would not be enough parking. This condo needs a complete refresh, it appears as if the condo was last redone in the 80s or early 90s. There was just a lot of little things that needed repaired, could hardly open or close both sliding doors, the bathroom door knob was coming loose, cabinet doors were catching on old wall paper, the caulking in the bathroom was awful . Lastly,the place needs a good cleaning, if you are going to have carpet in a beach condo you need to really clean it, the carpet was really dirty. Hate to be hard on a place, but this was our experience. The location saved this trip forme.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean and simple. We enjoyed the nostalgic feel of the place. The only complaint we have is the beds were extremely uncomfortable. My back is still hurting because of the queen sized bed.

Condo with no parking

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Typically when you book a place for a week you’ve got atleast A guarantee spot to park, sometimes two, not this place. First day we got there not enough parking under the condo or even to the side of it, and that lasted the whole entire week. Save yourself some money and go to a location that has guaranteed parking.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the vacation was great. No major issues. If there was one complaint I had it would be parking. If you rent a condo at Carolina Shores II you might not have a place to park at all times and you will get a ticket if you park in the beach access over night. I think this is a real issue with this condo.we will think twice about staying here if it’s a busy time just because of the parking.

The toilet stuck a little, had to jiggle the handle to get it to stop running. No big deal. The only issue I had was parking. I had a spot every night dont get me wrong. However I was thankful I have a sub compact car and could get in and out of tight spaces! All in all it was a good time and I would definitely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: Got a parking ticket for parking in public parking overnight because construction workers took all the free spots left .Noise the entire vacation stay as they were renovating the building next door and could not use the outside balcony except on Sunday without the lift beeping. Terrible. BIG ROACHES showed up last 3 day maybe because they were doing some work in the unit next door. I will not stay in this building again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay last week at Carolina Shores was wonderful! The property was extremely clean and was ready much earlier than we expected which was awesome. Unfortunately the parking was very limited and a few nights we had to park our medium size vehicle in the compact car spaces under the building which was a little difficult to navigate. Luckily we didn't damage our vehicle parking in these tight spaces and it would've been nice if the people who actually had compact cars would've parked in the proper spaces but it all worked out. Our check-in experience was super simple and the staff was very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Garden City and will definitely be back in the future.

How I broke my finger while on vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation rental experience, to say the least was disappointing. The unit I rented needed updated and repaired. All the kitchen utensils were either dirty or broken or missing. The knives were so bad I couldn't even cut my wrist, which is what I wanted to do after we arrived. The worst part are the sliding glass doors that don't slide, and that's how I broke my finger. Never again.

Reviewer Comments: Well our vacation was wonderful but I feel that if you were to use this condo there are a few things you need to be aware of before staying in it.1. Elevator does work2. Approximately 22 Parking spaces for 40 units3. Shower curtain had mold on it on arrival4. Tub took hours to drain and called in to Maintenance and never saw anyone5. Pillows were so flat that they could be considered fluffy pillowcases6. Bedroom TV color is off and could not get it to adjust - people were green7. Pool never looked serviced all week8. Water hose under the building to wash off worked about 1/2 the week.9. Everything seems a little outdated and mismatched for the prices that are being charge.10. Kitchen was stocked well for 3 people11. Description from Web Site belowCarolina Shores 2302 is a one-bedroom, one-bath ocean view condo located 0.6 miles north of Garden City Pier. This unit features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher, as well as a washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and private balcony. Two TVs (cable) and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one queen-sized bed, and one twin-over-twin bunk bed set. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Condo we stayed in was nice. Small, but all we needed for a family of 4. It had everything we needed. If there was not an issue with parking I would book it again. It appeared there are about 36 units in the building and only parking for about 14-20 cars. Someone told us you were supposed to park 3 cars in a row. How are you supposed to leave if you are the middle car? Needless to say we were concerned about driving anywhere because you could come back with no spot to park. It’s unfortunate. I would stay again in a heartbeat if this was resolved

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental itself is in need of a deep clean and possibly new furniture and upgrades. Bed wasn’t all the comfortable and there were stains/smells on blankets/pillows. The couch had stains all over it. It was a great location with partial view of the ocean. It was a comfortable walk to the pier as well. Parking was better than many other condos we have stayed at close by. The facility itself was pretty well maintained and no issues. It was a great value for the days we booked and it did the job for the few days we were there.
