Wonderful Property

Just need a few more things in the kitchen for cooking...measuring cups larger coffee cups, but nothing major! Great place and will be back!!! Thank you!!!

Great Condo in Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Marlin Quay is in a great location right on the inlet with wonderful views of the marina and Murrells Inlet. This unit was just as described and very clean though it’s close to needing a fresh coat of paint. We had never stayed on the south end of Garden City and are so happy we found Marlin Quay. We walked to Gulfstream Cafe for Thanksgiving dinner! Garden City Realty was very accommodating when it was necessary we extend our stay in the area another day. Another great holiday in Garden City!

Dining & shopping nearby. Walk across the street to the beach.Be sure to visit Brookgreen Gardens ... a real South Carolina treasure. A pass is valid for a week.You will feel secure on Marlin Quay property.

Marlin Quay 104

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental experience overall was not great. On check in day, we weren’t notified that our room was ready until 7 pm and on check out day, a cleaning crew was in our room when we returned from breakfast that morning well before checkout time, so we had to rush to get the the rest of our belongings from the unit and vacate the property prior to 10 am. I feel like we lost several hours of vacation time because of the time mismanagement on GCR’s part, but they offered nothing to make up for that. The room was also very overpriced for its condition. We found roaches and spiders in the property, the balcony door handle was broken upon arrival, and one of the shower doors was falling apart. The property was otherwise dated, had stained curtains, sand all over the balcony carpet, etc... For the rates charged, I expected much better.

Time to update.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at MQ104 for many years and love the location and view. The condo is showing its age though and is in need of updating, the guest shower needing the update the most. We enjoyed our stay but wish the owners would update the bathrooms and kitchen. The updates to the complex this past year were a nice addition.

Vacation at 104 MarlinQual

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay in 104 Marlin Quay very much. We enjoy the proximity to the ocean, the pools, and Gulfstream Cafe. The unit was very nicely decorated and we enjoyed the balcony and lovely views of the inlet. We did not use the disposal as has been advised that they don't work well but the kitchen was well equipped with dishes, etc. we did have some trouble with the air conditioning toward the end of our stay but the problem was addressed by Garden City Realty. I would recommend that the owners update their beds but overall it was quite a nice place to stay,

Our Marlin Quay stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I have been staying at Marlin Quay since the 1980s. It's been a few years since we vacationed in the Myrtle Beach area and we love Garden City. I have to say that we were a bit disappointed with this unit. The beds were really uncomfortable and one of the beds squeaked terribly every time my son rolled over. The unit was not very well equipped. The utensils in the kitchen-some were rusty and worn. The furniture is set at various angles and the areas behind the furniture were dusty and the unit was not as clean as it should have been (grout in shower moldy; toilet didn't flush well in one of the bedrooms). I wouldn't stay in this unit again. The condominum is showing its age and is in need of some renovations. I liked the new security gates. We love the area and will consider renting with you again but not sure about Marlin Quay.

A nice month to greet spring early.

We also were glad to have the big screen TV to watch "March Madness.

I sprayed wd40 on the screen door track for ease of getting onto deck, when we arrived the screen was very hard to open, also the slider in 2nd bdrm does not open at all. The condo was clean and a nice size , comfortable, nice area to walk around in.

Christmas to New Year

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented at Marlin Quay for many years but 1st time at unit 104. This is a very nice unit, however, upon arrival on Christmas Day we found water leaking from the fridge. Someone did come out that night and turn off the water supply to the fridge and let us know an appliance repair man would be called to come on Monday of that week. A repair man never showed up so we did not have ice for the week which was a little inconvenient. We had to continually purchase ice throughout the week. We were told that we would be reimbursed but the office was closed on New Year’s Day when we checked out.

Great Place!

The locked gates were annoying because our kids couldn't come & go when they wanted (didnt want to give them a key card to possibly lose then owe $70). The pull out couch mattress should NOT be counted as a is flat coils. Our son slept on the floor on couch cushions instead all week.

Beautiful Vacation

The view from our balcony was incredible. The beach was a short walk. The pools were a great addition to the rental providing beautiful views of the inlet. The elevator allowed us to come and go quickly! Adequate towels, comfortable seating, washer and dryer, nice TVs are among other amenities that added to a very enjoyable vacation! We highly recommend Marlin Quay!

Cleanliness is an Issue

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed at this property a few years prior without complaints, but the condo is definitely in need of a deep clean OR a new cleaning company contract all together. There were ants in the kitchen, crumbs under the tables, oily fingerprints on glass surfaces and our feet were turning black from walking around inside the condo. The drapery and bedding also had questionable stains, that made me want to leave as soon as we arrived. GC Rentals offered us $25 to buy supplies and clean it ourselves (I didn’t want housekeeping in the property after we arrived) which was unreasonable on their part to think it could be cleaned properly with a quick vacuuming. Otherwise, the condo is in a great location and the marina views are spectacular.

Mother’s Memories Made Day

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: God’s Grace provides a spectacular view surrounded by inlet, ocean, and family. Home comforts with baking utensils for Grandma ma to make homemade chocolate chip cookies. Cleanliness is next to Godlimess and the condo was definitely clean. Parking and mobility to and fro was easily accomplished so even Grandma ma had not trouble with unpacking and packing my car. IGrandchildren loved the pool area. I, Grandma ma lived in Harden City Beach from 1995 until 2019 and was back to visit with family and friends. Memories were made again and I will always love Garden City Beach South Carolina.

Great location but....

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Comfortable living area and kitchen stocked nicely. Overall the unit was clean. However, the bedding and drapery's are old and totally filthy! Drapes so thin the parking lot lights lit the bedrooms all night. Comforter, pillows looked as though bought in the 70's and never washed. The dryer died Thursday. Promised delivery of a new one that afternoon. Had to go to laundry mat Friday evening. Still no dryer Saturday morning.
