“The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!”

“The staff here are amazing. Nice enough to send someone to the train station at 4 am to pick me up and give me a room to nap for a bit even before my official check in time. Restaurant is nice too with incredible views of the fort. ”

“Bad front desk service; extremely slow to carry out a simple task. Food isn’t great - they should be able to get a good chef and cook more appealing meals given that the hotel is in the middle of Rajasthan. Comfy room but location is poor, staff are badly-trained and not interested in being helpful or doing anything at all above the bare minimum. Stayed here last-minute and would only advise booking if you have to do the same. ”

“The owner of the hotel was very kind and very helpful his service was excellent. He also spoke excellent spanish. He is very trust worthy and happy to help their guests. The breakfast was very good and it is served at the top floor with an excellent view of the fortress. The Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the city and fortress. The room was very clean and very nicely decorated, the bathroom was also clean and nice. ”

“I had checked late in night and it was very hard to wake them up for check-in. Neither their was any bell to ring nor contact number were picked. After knocking door several time they opened the door and i was checked in”

“Que agradable estancia .... demasiado corta, tan solo una noche, nos habríamos quedado más tiempo! Nos encantó el hotel desde el momento del checkin, nos recibieron con collares de flores, muy amables todo el tiempo todo el personal. La habitación muy cómoda y grande, y también el baño... fabuloso! “Staff is very average and not the warm kinds (which is very unusual in hospitality industry). The staff was evidently pushing tasks from one department to another. Seemed like they want to make money on every given instance- baby food was also chargeable, which is not chargeable at every Hotel, wherever we have stayed earlier. Food is very basic.”
