Location is hard to find the first time, but if you follow the VRBO directions closely, you'll find it. The house itself was clean, but one of the bathrooms had hair in the tub when we arrived. That same bathroom has a tub that is elevated. The first morning my 76 y.o. husband took a shower, he stepped out of the tub and fell, face first, to the floor. There needs to be a sign on the wall reminding you of the deep step down. The description says it has a kitchen with a refrigerator. However, there is no cooktop nor oven and the refrigerator is only counter high...similar to what you would find in a hotel room. For cooking there was a microwave and an electric skillet. Fortunately we were only there for two nights and didn't need to cook. also, the animal rugs on the floor in the living room need to be secured a little better. All of tripped on them at least once. As we are all in our 70s, the rugs and the raised bath tub, could be a severe liability hazard for the owners. I was also told that we could use the garage but there was no way to open it. The door from the inside was locked and there were no handles to open it from the outside.Having said all that, we did enjoy the house. It is decorated beautifully and the grounds are quite serene. We wouldn't have a problem renting it again, if the need should arise.

I stayed here with my 2 sons and a friend. We all loved the house and the grounds. My 13 yr old enjoyed the activities available. Location was great. We felt secluded but it was so easy to get to town. We will definitely stay again.

Charming and thoughtfully decorated Casita with perfect hill country decor provided backdrop for lovely peaceful evenings of moonlight nights, and colorful sunsets. While in the daytime we visited the quaint little town of Wimberley where we shopped and ate at delicious restaurants. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location with beautiful views. The cleanliness is questionable. Both tubs had hair on arrival, the sliding glass door didn’t lock (but we felt safe leaving it that way), the bedroom door knobs were loose and one did fall apart, one of the smoke detectors started buzzing bc of a low battery at 10 pm and we didn’t have any spares to change them out. We called the managing firm emergency line (we had 4 school age children sleeping in the bedroom) no return call so my husband removed the detector and we left it on the patio beneath cushions to mute the annoying sound. We found a dead scorpion in the kitchen the first night. There wasn’t a new dish sponge to wash dishes with. Other than those minor glitches, we really did enjoy our stay. Oh, and the grass was too high to play golf as advertised.

Not as secluded as listed. You are literally 100 feet from owners home. Outside Property not kept. Can’t walk parts of property that they show as selling points in pictures because stickers will cover you. Such as the overlook area, and the golfing area. Fire pit shown in pictures apparently hasn’t existed in years. Home is very clean and nice except it doesn’t have full kitchen. It’s more like a bar. Mini fridge, no stove. The sliding door won’t lock so we are having to lock ourselves in bedroom every night to feel safe. This isn’t conducive for a family of 6 that prefers to cook rather than going out to eat. It was very nice sitting on screen porch listening to the rain. Again inside is very clean and beautiful. Wouldn’t be bad if it was just a couples retreat. With little to no cooking. Not sure where guest parking is since it said don’t block garage doors. We ended up blocking garage door. Hot water lasted through 6 people. That was fantastic. All in all we were only there 2 nights and it worked for us but will not return for trips lasting longer.

Beautiful property, amazing sunset views. Loved the house and layout, screened porch was nice. Though it rained, still had fun floating the river and enjoyed home amenities (bocce & golf practice hole). Only concern was sliding glass door that didn't lock. Felt safe, but would have liked that security when we were not there or sleeping.

First off, this has been one of, if not THE, best property I've stayed at. The location is perfect! The private drive into the property, the terrace to see the sun set behind the hills, the hike to the fire pit, all of these things make this property one of my favorites! The house itself is very nice and spacious. Everything we needed was available, we just got a few groceries for our stay. This will be the house we look for on our future trips to Wimberley!

Very quiet and peaceful! Beds were comfortable. Bring your own keurig unless you like to brew your own coffee. Don’t follow the link provided for maps…follow the verbal directions! The sliding door doesn’t lock but there were plenty of sticks around to fix the problem!

We had a wonderful time in Wimberley and the surrounding area. The place was very nice and quiet. Thank you for a very well kept and clean place to stay. The only concern was that the sliding door doesn’t lock. My husband tried to get it to catch and it wouldn’t. We didn’t feel like our belongings were safe when we were not there or even sleeping at night with an unlocked door. It would have also been nice to have a box of Kleenex. It was also not an easy place to find. Google didn’t have the same directions as listed in the check in email. I can’t Really rate communication with the owner because I didn’t have any communication other than emails from the property manager.

This is a quiet, hidden away private property with beautiful grounds and views. Our hostess made us feel at home-she even sharpened our granddaughter’s colored pencils! It’s convenient to Wimberly and many other destinations.

This property is everything you could ask for. It is tucked away nicely into the hills with an amazing property you can walk and breathe deeply. But it is close enough to town that you can make the market shipping and dinner within a 5 min drive (once you figure out how to get your GPS to get you to the gate and not climb a mountain, follow the owner's directions). The beds were comfy, the showers were clean and water hot! My wife loved everything about this weekend including this house!! Thank you so much for letting us stay the weekend! Ray and Amanda (and our kiddo plus grandma)

The house was as described however I didn't notice there wasn't a full kitchen, so that's something to consider when staying this far out. The beds were super comfy and there was plenty of room for our four adults and the screened-in porch was perfect for hanging out. The house was very clean and decorated super cute. Oh, and don't follow your google maps to the house, follow the directions emailed to you (they are very detailed and exact). Otherwise, you'll end up nowhere close to the house! The only complaints I have is the charging for things that I've always had without charge (late check out/early check in) and there wasn't a lot "starter" toiletries in the house so we had to buy trash bags and toilet paper. Otherwise, the house was great!

House is clean and just what we needed for a quick family getaway. My only complaint is the link and written directions sent on our confirmation were not accurate and could use more clarity. When I called the property group to get help, the lady read the exact directions I had in the email, which was not helpful. We ended up finding the house on our own and it took us 45 minutes longer than anticipated. Please be aware, the physical address doesn't work on maps or google maps, and the written instructions sent weren't clear. Other than the direction fiasco, we enjoyed our stay.

The house is quaint, private and beautiful. The scenery is spectacular. Coffee outside in the covered seating area was so nice every morning. I can’t say enough good things. The beds were so comfortable, the house was so clean. I would stay here again!!!!

The property was beautiful! I have 3 items I think could be improved on: 1. I'm a tea drinker and the selection and sweetener choices were ridiculous (no honey and stevia was rock hard, tea was a hodge podge of open and random cheap stuff). 2. If you arrive at night the signage of where to park and enter your unit was hard to see and confusing (at least for us, but we did arrive around midnight). 3. There are 2 gates to get in, both times the directions sent us to the wrong gate. There are "extra" directions, but they were not highlighted as importantly as I felt they should be!. This is all small stuff, but just our honest experience. But it was a beautiful location and clean home.
