We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our 80 year old birthday celebration was successful and our guests were very impressed with the house. We did see a long horn and two piglets! Although we didn’t use the pool, it looked very clean and inviting.

The drive up is steep and narrow, with parts of the road looking like they can only accommodate one vehicle at a time. The bungalow itself had a noticeable spider issue, so if you’re afraid of spiders, this may not be the place for you. Additionally, the pool house had a significant ant problem, The main issue we encountered was with the owner. Cleanliness throughout the property was minimal at best. I even sent the owner pictures of trash that had been left behind by previous guests. There were linens left in a pile on top of the washer and dryer when we arrived, which we ignored. Later, the owner sent me photos of damaged bedding and asked if we had brought a dog — essentially accusing our group of causing the damage. We did not have a dog, nor did we damage any bedding The owner also mentioned that housekeeping said the home was harder to clean than usual. However, we followed all outlined procedures and did our best to keep the house tidy. Yes, we were a group of 14 with young children, but I had paid a 350 cleaning feeMy advice: take photos and videos of the property as soon as you arrive and document anything out of place — otherwise, you risk being blamed for issues you didn’t cause.

Wonderful pool and sleeping arrangements. Full kitchen.

This was our family reunion trip and we had a wonderful time playing and eating. It is close to the lake, float trips, and market. It was a wonderful stay with hiking, wildlife, and swimming.

Family reunion

This was our second time staying at this property. The pool was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. We loved seeing the longhorns and walking to the overlook. We had great family time.

Family reunion

We had 12 in our group for a small family reunion. The property was great! Spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the longhorns The property manager was great and was readily available for any questions or needs. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for large families!

The main house provided plenty of room for 4 adults and 7 kids. The dorm room with 6 twin beds was a hit with the younger kids! The gazebo covered patio was relaxing and offered a beautiful view, and the large pool was wonderful! The guest cottage was a short walk from the main house, and offered a quiet retreat. We would definitely stay again.

Canyon Lake Staycation

Best part of this home was the location. Home sits on top of the hill in a gated/fenced quiet location(private). We were 20 people and rented both homes and amenities were excellent. It has volley ball court, swimming pool , two hot tubs and firepit. There are no flood lights on volleyball court if you intend to play at night. There are multiple refrigerators to store food if you plan to stay longer. Host did some fireworks on new years eve and we all were invited. Correspondence was quick. Property needs some renovations. There are no locks for common bathrooms. Gameroom which 6 beds does not have a door.

Great house!

We came for my fiancé and I’s joint bachelor/bachelorette party and it was the perfect house. It accommodated everyone perfectly. The beds were so comfortable and everyone slept great. We really enjoyed our stay. Berlin, the owner, was so sweet. She made sure we were taken care of and had great communications. The cows were really friendly and ate out of my hand a couple of times. My only suggestion is to have bigger trash cans. We went through SO many trash bags and ended up running out and used tiny bags that my brother in law had in his truck. LOL.

Family Time!

My family had a great time together and there was enough space for everyone to retire to their own rooms. Four generations with grandmothers in the main house bottom rooms and then all the other family groups spread out upstairs and at the bungalow. We all had a stress free, fun time together. Loved watching the longhorns and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Host was very responsive to needs!

Perfect family vacation spot

Gorgeous location, beautiful pool, plenty of room for everyone. The bungalow was down a short road from the pool house, but it worked out well for the family members who don’t have kids. They were able to sleep in and have their own quiet space. The whole place was the cleanest vacation rental I’ve stayed at. Kitchen is well-stocked, and having multiple refrigerators for our group was great. The scenery is stunning, and the host is welcoming and informative. We got a kick out of seeing the longhorns up close. The weather cooperated, and we spent an evening at the fire pit making s’mores. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for families

This was such a beautiful and peaceful place for a family get together. The kids loved the pool and the walks, including wildlife and farm animals. The houses were big enough for all us and clean. They even smell good. Definitely a place to revisit next time we're in Texas.

Amazing stay

We came from Austin, Chicago and New York. There were four generations staying here and we all had a wonderful time. The homes and grounds were perfect for our crew. we all enjoyed the pool, the hikes, the scenery, the play areas. the longhorns and pigs visiting us were just amazing, a true Texan experience. We visited Gruene, the caverns and zip line and fun was had by all. Berlin is the most gracious host and was a delight to deal with. We will be back!! Nancy L.

Awesome place for like a 20 person wedding.

Great views! Really nice land owner! This place has 2 houses, plenty parking and a large pool with hot tub. Also, we enjoyed the longhorns on the property. The houses have everything you need down to towels, utencils etc. I also liked having the kitchenette in the gameroom. This place took the stress of a wedding off of everyone, because it was more like an enjoyable vacation.

Wonderful Annual Family Trip

This was our annual family trip and we had a great time. The pool was so refreshing and plenty big for us to have a great time playing water volleyball. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of counter space and room. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. All in all it was a wonderful time to relax and spend time together. Thank you for being so attentive to all of our questions.
