“Nice cosy little cabin accommodation with ensuite bathroom. Quiet room, reasonable sleep. Electric blankets were required to be used, but unfortunately one of the side (mine!) of the double electric blanket wasn't functioning. Normally we would have reported that to the proprietors but we were aware that the Hotel had closed for the night a few hours earlier and staff gone, so we put up with it. Overall a comfortable stay for 1 night.”

“Wonderful location on the waterfront and close to the main street of Burnie. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. Dining facilities are outstanding and we can vouch for breakfast and evening meals which offer variety and are very good quality. Our room had a comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, good climate control, but the best feature was being able to hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach.”

“This was my second visit to Strahan. It’s easy to forget how these towns in the west of the state shut down in winter. The hotel has two restaurants and the pub. Both restaurants were closed and there was no suggestion of room service. The only appliance in the room was an electric jug, which meant that, if you want breakfast you have to eat at the bistro. “La cama es cómoda y tiene esterillas eléctricas. Esperábamos encontar una habitación en mucho peor estado, pero nos sorprendió, aunque lis muebles son antiguos , todo está muy limpio. El personal es amable y no está a mucha distancia del centro. La única pega es que cierra a las 20h la recepción.... También hay que pensar que a partir de esta hora poco queda abierto en el pueblo.”
