“The building is beautiful, as is the park. I think the staff who checked us in need to improve their customer service. However, the restaurant staff and checkout staff were wonderful. The hotel smells awful, and the room cleaning is terrible. It's a great shame since the building is beautiful and the natural surroundings are a unique wonder. “Clean and comfortable, reasonably priced, but not cheap ($93.23 [after tax] for one night). Sparce amenities but the area is quiet and felt safe enough for a couple of senior women.
We do wish we had searched a little longer for a place with a coffee maker in the room, but with McDonald's in walking distance, we will survive LOL.
We ate at Applebee's which is a quick drive or walk if you want to stretch your legs.
We will be hiking to one of the water falls in the Daniel Boone National Forest...
