I would have given 5 stars but….. This is our second time using VRBO (my sister in law who was with us uses both VRBO and the other popular site to book all the time). This particular property was managed by itrip which we did not know until we booked the property and our first time not working directly with an owner. Check in and out was a bit inconvenient but overall ok. The condo was newly updated and very clean. We definitely liked it very much. Our BIG complaint was when we arrived and found the patio furniture in the living room and all of our windows covered by plastic due to exterior renovations being done by the HOA. We immediately reached out to itrip and were told they had no control over it and nothing they could do. We were told that we could leave the condo immediately and get a refund, but the plastic could not be removed by us or the owner would be fined and potentially pass that to us?? We should have been informed about this as I am sure the entire property was well informed by the HOA months in advance that this was going to be happening so that we could be given the opportunity to look for somewhere else. Luckily, the door plastic was removed the next day so we could at least move dining table and eight chairs out of our living room and go outside but the plastic remained on the banisters completely obstructing our view until the day before we left. Very poor communication by management company. I will only look to book direct with owners in future.
