The Sandy Feet Retreat had plenty of space. Layout of the house was perfect. Short walk to the beach. Local Townspeople were all very friendly. Owner was very responsive with our questions.These items below were the highlights of our 10 day stay. We loved going into Southport what a charming Little Town. We even took a guided Fun Time tour which pointed out so many sites from movies or shows we watched over the years. Seeing the Sunset from the deck of the American Fish company was AMAZING!! We highly recommend the Oak Island Lighthouse tour (It's even FREE but you will need to schedule in advance). We went to Caswell beach 3 days. Walked to Oak Island beach 3 different days. Our stay was very relaxing, loved the no need for an alarm clock. The house provided everything you need to prepare meals. Our vacation to Oak Island was great!!!

Sandy Feet Retreat was perfect for our family (six adults and four small children). Layout of rooms maximized the space and gave each family unit privacy. Food prep was easy with plenty of dishes, good-quality cookware, large island, and pantry. We appreciated extras such as a high chair and clothes drying rack. Easy walk to the ocean and the inter-coastal waterway. The owners responded quickly to any questions that arose. Will definitely consider this house for future visits to Oak Island! Five stars!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! It was exactly as described—neat, clean, and just a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and we especially enjoyed relaxing on the screened-in deck. A perfect spot for a beach getaway!

Had a great time

Had a great experience staying here. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. The house was clean and had everything we needed for cooking/grilling meals. The layout of the house is nice and it was great having king beds in all the rooms except the kids' room. The screened in porch is large and a great place to hang out. The owners were very responsive and were able to accommodate an early check-in for us.

Great Beach House

We just got back from a week at this beach house. The home is very clean and nicely decorated. It worked out well for our family of 6 adults and 2 children. Although we had a couple maintenance issues - tv & kitchen faucet, the owners were very responsive and made sure they were repaired quickly. We even received an OKI scoops gift card for the inconvenience. Seem to be really nice owners.

Wonderful week at Sandy Feet Retreat

We loved our stay! The house was clean and comfy. The kitchen supplied all we needed to prepare meals. The location was excellent. The street was calm and safe. We appreciated recommendations for our stay from the host and the quick response to our questions. We hope to be back!

Amazing Place

This house was perfect for our family beach trip. My whole family. Mom, brothers' family, sisters' family, and my family. Place was new and fresh. Mom enjoyed the layout and wide-open spaces to watch her kids and grandkids get together. Also, the location was perfect for the teens. Easy access to a lot of adventures that they took. Definitely will be back.

Sandy Beach Retreat

Excellent, newly updated house with ample parking. Easy 2 block walk to the beach. Outdoor shower was a plus. Screened in deck with fans was great to hang out on. Will rent again.

Perfect house!

The property is just as advertised and the location was perfect -quick walk to the beach, close to restaurants, and very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed after dinner walks and it was very safe. Well equipped kitchen and super clean. Good communication throughout the process. We hope to stay again when we visit OKI!

Family Vacation

Our party of 6 (5 adults and 1 child) loved this property! It was the perfect size for us. The rooms were spacious and we loved having indoor and outdoor space to play games and hangout. The location to the beach was great! The host was super prompt in answering any questions/issues we had. We loved that it was children friendly with a gate on the porch and a highchair there! The only recommendation we have would be to add fans to the screened in porch because it does get a little stuffy out there during the hottest part of the day. But overall, we loved it and would definitely return in the future!

Great place to relax!

The house was beautiful and the whole family enjoyed it. The owner has done a fabulous job making sure that you don’t have to worry about anything. The only change we would suggest is to add a couple of ceiling fans to the screened porch.
