Loved the home. Plenty of room and decorated very beachy. Pool ws awesome. Two minute walk to beach and very walkable to several restaurants and coffee shops. Hope to return here again!

Fantastic stay

My family of 8 stayed this past week at Ocean Memories. The house was so welcoming and accommodating for members of all ages! The kids loved the pool area and the giant breakfast bar! We would definitely stay again. Super short walk to the beach and parking available there too!

Great Beach Trip!

This house was excellent! This was our first trip to Oak Island and honestly the first time in a very long time that I was sad to be done with a vacation at the end of it. This place just felt like home. We were two families, with a total of 4 adults and 5 kids and this house was a great size for our group. It is so well stocked so we had everything we needed and the pool was awesome!

Exceeded expectations

We had never heard of itrip before so I was weary about renting through them. They exceeded my expectations. We arrived a few min early and ran into one of the staff at the house - she was so friendly and kind! We only had one small issue during our stay and it was resolved in less than 3 hours. Highly recommend

Peaceful week

We were pleased with the proximity to the main drag and the convenience to the beach. The house had everything we needed with the exception of only having two wine glasses and we could have used a few extra blankets. It would have been nice to have an area map provided to help us get around. We left an important item behind and the management company was quick to respond and get it sent to us. I would highly recommend this vacation home.

Great location & pool area.

The location and pool area were perfect for our group. The house overall is nice, but could use a good cleaning, cabinets/closets cleaned out and update some kitchen equipment and beach chairs. (Only 4 rusted and no umbrella). The outside shower door was hanging on with one screw and grill propane near empty…called property manager on Tues and never was addressed.

The house itself was nicely decorated & accommodating to our needs (laundry, dishes, pool, etc). However, it was incredibly dirty!! The cleaning ladies were still there when we arrived at check in at 4pm, but finished shortly after. I think the only thing they cleaned were the toilets. The floors were sandy, the counters hadn’t been wiped down, much less disinfected. The cabinets were filthy inside & out & there were actually dirty dishes put away in them! The refrigerator on the outside hadn’t been cleaned & there was mold in the water/ice tray on the front of the door. The doors & windowsills hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. There was food under the couches we hadn’t brought into the house, so it definitely wasn’t ours. We didn’t get to use the fire pit as there was dog poo around it, even after someone had stopped by to supposedly clean it up. We definitely liked the house but they absolutely need to hire a different cleaning crew!!

Nice place

Perfect property for a family with small children as there are no stairs and home is wide open - easy to always have babies in sight. Kitchen is well stocked - but items cabinets are a bit junky and disorganized, which is no big deal. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, which is the most important thing, but floors and countertops didn’t seem to have been thoroughly cleaned. Had a very difficult time getting information ahead of time about safety items relating to access to the pool. I wanted door measurements to purchase a safety gate for the door leading to the pool since I was told there WASN’T an alarm on the door or other safety measures. Although I asked multiple times, I never received these measurements, which was very frustrating. And as it turned out, there WAS an alarm on the exterior door leading to the pool. Had I been given this information, I wouldn’t have needed to purchase the gate. All in all, we were please with the property and would consider staying at this house again.

We decided on this house because of the short walk to the beach and a pool with 2 teenagers and a 1-year-old. Upon arriving and entering we noticed how dirty the floors were. Our feet and socks were covered in dirt, hair and sand. The floors are all cement with no rugs. I found a broom and swept ALL the floors. There was food and toys under the furniture, feminine products under BOTH bathroom sinks. Not really what I wanted to do on my first day of vacation. Wanted to use a Swiffer mop I found in a closet but there were no pads around or a new tank. So we went and bought some. As the day went on we found other things that needed to be taken care of so we started a list. Here is the list:-There was a knife on top of the doorway to the master bedroom lying along the trim that could have fallen on any of our 3 kids or us. -The door to the King bedroom does not latch. -Upon arriving the toilets would not flush. We had to plunge them both.-The bathroom by the kitchen has a leak every time you flush.-There are no extra towels.-The bar stool on the end is completely broken and my daughter almost fell off of it. -The couch had sharp staples sticking out of the edge that caught your leg if you walked by (I bent them over to avoid happening again) -The linens on the bed in the master bedroom were stained. This house is cute with an amazing pool only a few short steps to the beach. A little TLC & some cleaning this would be a 5 star house.
