                 Bajo nueva propiedad !!
Hermosa casa de playa renovada con piscina privada ubicada en un tranquilo jardín bordeado (tráfico mínimo) calle 4 casas desde un acceso directo a la playa y un corto paseo al centro de la ciudad, restaurantes y diversión. Venga a relajarse con nosotros y disfrute de su estadía. La cabaña tiene un plano de planta abierto, techos altos y una cálida sensación de casa de campo costera, con cuatro dormitorios y dos baños con capacidad para 9 personas cómodamente. Disfrute de un día soleado en la playa y relájese cenando y descansando en su piscina privada ubicada en el patio trasero, y está cercada por seguridad y cercada por privacidad, hay muchas tumbonas y dos juegos de patio para cenar. Un montón de rockeros para un porche delantero sentado debajo de los ventiladores de enfriamiento, mientras escucha las olas rompiendo. También hay columpios divertidos para tus pequeños. Hay una ducha en la puerta, donde puede enjuagar la arena convenientemente antes de ir a la piscina o entrar a la casa. We love Crosswinds Cottage! The cottage is cozy and we truly feel like we're at home. The kitchen has everything you could need. We loved the multiple outdoor spaces. We swam in the pool every day! The house is decorated so nicely. We appreciated the wagon for lugging things to the beach each day (which is just a short walk from the house). We definitely hope to return!

We are local to the area but had family from another state wanting to rent a beach house. We LOVED this place! Pictures don’t do it justice. Beautifully decorated, comfy beds, and 4 houses from the walkway to the beach. So much outdoor living spaces that we never even used the family room! The biggest bonus is the pool - when sitting on the sand gets too hot, or it’s too crowded, to have your own pool with plenty of seating and lovely landscaping is priceless!!!! FULL BATHROOM BY THE POOL AREA!!!! We loved this place so much that my husband and I might rent it just for ourselves in the off season. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Good Times, Family Fun

Loved staying at Crosswinds Cottage, such a great family beach house. I had stayed here several years ago and it was great then too. Only this time we were fortunate enough to meet the homeowner who is so nice and considerate to her renters. Also, we had the opportunity to enjoy all the renovations that had been done since our last stay. This is absolutely a little piece of heaven on earth. The pool and the outdoor space is incredible. Looking forward to staying again!

Perfect Vacation Home

We have been coming to Ocean Isle Beach for the last 20 years. With grandkids this year, we decided a pool would be nice. Crosswinds Cottage did not disappoint! The house is beautifully remodeled and decorated. There are several outdoor areas for hanging out and eating meals. Close and convenient access to the beach. Great communication by the owner. We hope to return next year!

Clean, convenient and fun vacation home!

The cottage was the perfect place for our families. The home was clean, comfortable and homey. What really stands out about this house, however, is the outdoor area. There are beautiful and updated decks on both sides of the home. The pool is very large for a beach house, and the deck and seating areas are also spacious and well maintained. The kids loved the swings, sand area, basketball goal, and the life size connect four game. The house is a short walk to a beach public access point, and only a few minutes drive to the center of the island. A great stay!

Perfect!

We have been coming to OIB for over 20 years, and this was our second stay at Crosswinds Cottage. It is perfect! Love the location, just steps to the beach. Lots of outdoor entertaining space. The pool is a nice option when not at the beach. Also, perfect for when the grandkids are napping. The house is beautifully renovated and decorated. The updated and enlarged kitchen was a huge bonus this year. Heather is a wonderful host. Very attentive with great communication. I'm sure we will stay here again!

Best cottage ever

What a wonderful property + owners. The pictures of this property do not even do it justice! The best rental I’ve ever stayed in for so many reasons! The owners are amazing and super responsive and helpful. We loved this place so much!!!! The home is so cozy, very kid friendly (we had a 10 month old, 1 year old, and 5 year old), the house is incredibly stocked especially the kitchen area (never seen a rental have so much!!!), the walk to the beach is a breeze, the pool was amazing, and the outdoor bathroom is a DREAM.So many great thing to say about this property! Our family keeps growing, but I can only dream of staying here again!!! Fabulous trip at the most fabulous cottage on OIB! We certainly fell in love <3

Terrific!

Our family really enjoyed the cottage! Communication with the owners was fantastic and they have a well stocked and beautifully decorated home!!! Great outdoor living spaces as well as a really short walk to the beach. Easy to go back for lunch or the bathroom. The outside shower had a toilet and sink!! Great so you don’t have to run upstairs when you are enjoying all the amazing features. We hired a private chef to cook a special birthday dinner and there was plenty of room to celebrate! We had a great time and will definitely come back if we are in OIB again. Thanks Heather for a truly great experience!!

The cutest cottage!

We had the most Amazing time! The house was everything we hoped for… plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, an open kitchen, full size washer/dryer… and the outside living spaces were incredible!! So many different spots to hangout and lounge in. The pool was heavenly and the outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) was perfect for rinsing after the beach. Especially with our 16 month old daughter! We loved this house and how close it was to get to the beach. The hosts we’re available through communication all week and were quick to respond through the whole booking process. They have done a lovely job with the renovations. Look forward to coming back!

Very nice outdoor spaces

The property is very nice. Updated. Great outdoor spaces. The interior is also updated very nicely. Great beach access. The only downside is the 4 bedrooms share 2 small bathrooms. It wasn’t a problem for us since we are all family but I didn’t notice that on the listing when we booked. The third bathroom is kind of outside under the house. The ceiling fans need a cleaning and the grill was dirty when we got there. I understand that if no one tells the owner then they don’t know. We would definitely stay there again. A local friend visited us and said she would consider booking for her out of town family when they came to visit.

Perfect Family Getaway

WOW! In the 17+ years my family has been renting beach houses, this is the best one! The house was immaculately clean and SO well stocked (like literally the best stocked kitchen ever). The location was perfect: a short enough walk to the beach that we could run back and forth multiple times a day with toddlers in tow, on the most beautifully landscaped street & the beach wasn't crowed. The outside furniture & pool were perfect for sun & shade lovers alike. Don't even get me started on the outdoor shower: I'll dream of it for years. The beds were all super comfortable. To top it all off, the unique design of the house really made you feel like you were staying somewhere special. Thank you to the owners for making this wonderful property available. We loved every minute!

Perfect week in OIB

We absolutely love Crosswinds Cottage, this is our second time staying here but our first since the major renovations! The kitchen is just amazing, so easy to maneuver around for family dinners. We had 7 staying in the cottage this time around. So much outdoor seating for coffee, conversations or a nice glass of wine. The outdoor shower and bathroom is the best, I never showered inside the whole week. We also celebrated my husbands 50th including friends who were staying in other houses. We had a private chef come in and 11 guests, it was the perfect space to entertain! Heather is wonderful to communicate with and a truly special host. We have been coming to OIB since 2015, it is such a special place. Next year can not come soon enough!

Wonderful family trip to the beach

We highly recommend this property! We had more than enough space for our small family. So many outdoor spaces to enjoy, and our kids loved the pool, the sand area, and the giant Connect 4 game. The outdoor shower was so helpful, along with the wagon to transport things to and from the beach. The new kitchen was absolutely gorgeous and was stocked with pretty much anything we needed. Heather did such an amazing job decorating the house, so you really feel like you’re at home. We couldn’t believe just how close we were to the beach, with access just at the end of the road, and another access with a ramp just a block over. The beach is never crowded. The splash pad and playground downtown were a hit with our kids. We loved this house and OIB!

Best OIB Experience my Family has ever had.

First, let me say that my Family and I have been coming to OIB for many years. We have stayed in many different houses through most of the available rental companies located here. We have stayed beach front, 2nd row, 3rd row and canal front over the years but none of the homes meet the experience we had this past week. Heather, the owner, is fantastic. She is very responsive throughout the entire process. From researching the home, to booking the home, to the excitement and questions leading up to the trip, to our actual time in the home, she is extremely prompt and very customer focused. She is very committed to making the trip very memorable We travel the same dates every year and have over a dozen Families travel with us and rent homes all over OIB. This home was everyone's favorite. It was perfect for our Family of 4 but could easily accommodate more. It is very open and cozy with enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. We have teenagers and so do the Families we travel with. Everyday our home was where we wrapped up our day because of the amazing pool, outdoor sitting areas (all shaded), amazing deck overlooking the pool and the large dining area open to the kitchen. The pictures in my opinion just don't do this home justice. OIB is the only vacation we take a year and this year was the best one we have ever had. My Wife, who usually is ready to travel home early, didn't want to leave. My son, who is getting ready to go to College said "Dad, this was our best trip ever, we need to book this place again next year!" My daughter who is in high school said "I want to live in a home like this someday." We are very blessed to have found this home and to have met Heather. It was a very memorable experience. Thank you Heather! BTW: I have never in my life left a review for anything. It's just not my thing. There is just no way I couldn't share this experience.

Crosswinds Cottage at OIB

Wow, what a beautiful week at OIB in NC! The weather was amazing and so was our beautiful Crosswinds Cottage! Great kitchen remodel and love the island where the family could hang, eat and enjoy each other! The pool is a must with grandkids! The property owner is VERY quick to respond and so easy to work with. We have been coming to OIB for 27 years and the last 3 yrs have been at Crosswinds Cottage and we will be booking early to ensure us another week at Crosswinds in 2023! Best beach house on OIB!!! Great Birthday Stay

We stayed here to take our daughter to the beach for her birthday during COVID. It was a small, short stay, and we wish we could have stayed longer! The host gave us information about nearby attractions to take our daughter, and we went to the dolphin tour! We got to see dolphins, and even my mom who is in her 70s said this was her first time seeing dolphins! Although the first day the weather didn't cooperate, we still enjoyed the pool, the porch, and board games! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We hope to come again for a longer stay!

Solid home for a family.

We enjoyed our stay and had lots of outdoor space, great family rental.
