“The house was comfortable and warm, with lovely views and perfectly good facilities (4g signal is good so didn't miss wifi). It was nice to come back to during those days when the weather was wild. Everything I needed in a place to stay. Not too far from Castlebay so easy to get food and fuel. Will definitely stay there again if available next time I am on Barra. Barra itself was fantastic and a very friendly place, with some stunning coastline to explore from the sea when the weather allowed!”

“This is a nice cottage that is located on the northern, western aspect of the island. The cottage was clean and larger than we needed. If you are looking for remote and quiet than this is the place for you.”

“Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable and cosy with gorgeous artwork by one of the owners. Surrounded by wildlife. Pond in the garden with waterlilies and a gate down to the lochan. Everything was spotless and felt new.”

“Nice house at Skye. Do consider there is no nearby town (which perhaps is the case in many places to stay at Skye, bit which should nevertheless should be considered in terms of supermarket needs.”

“The property is spacious, clean and warm. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and easy to use with plenty of hot water. The open plan kitchen and dining room are well equipped and an excellent meeting hub. Located near the ferry, fuel and shop this is well located for a North Uist holiday. ”

“Apart from the potholes getting to the cottage it was great. We could see the Milky Way when the sky was clear! Would love to stay for an extended period of time if we manage to come again in the future.”

“We stayed for 2 weeks, whilst the rest of the country had a heat wave, we had a couple of nice days and the rest was misty and windy. However, the house exceeded our expectations being warm, comfortable and had everything you could need - really high quality furnishings etc. Fantastic views from the house and the patio area and walks from the doorstep. If you like beach walking (cant describe how beautiful they are) and wild life (otters, deer, seals etc) then this is an excellent choice, we...

“Had a great week in the superb Kettle Cottage, great location with open views to the sea - great sunsets. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bedroom had loads of space and bed very comfortable. Great walks from the cottage door or short drive away. All round great week and would hope to return ”
