Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. “Ferry (Han's friend/helper) was so kind and welcoming. He helped us carry our bags into the boat and oriented us to living on the boat. He even put some drinks in the fridge to welcome us. “The houseboat was in a great location for us - really easy to get the bus into Amsterdam, but quiet and near to the countryside. The bikes made it easy to see the windmills and explore the nature reserve nearby. Check in was easy and all communication was friendly and helpful. We wanted a good base where we could explore more than just the city. There’s a good supermarket a short walk away, so it was easy for us to self-cater. We loved our stay! ”
