Relaxing Retreat

Our family of nine loved this home! It was clean, spacious, and close to the pool, nearby restaurants, stores, and beaches. It was the perfect place to retreat to after long days at the beach and pool.

Best Family Vacation Ever!

We loved the house and its close proximity to the beach and Peddlers Pavillion. The kids loved the green area behind the house and spent hours hunting for lizards. The pool was amazing and swimming at night was a hit! The tram was so convenient and the walks to Alys and Rosemary Beach were easy. Loved every minute. Lots of great memories made!

Perfect family vacation

We had an amazing time! Location was great! Better than we could’ve even planned and the use of bikes made it even better! Our house was huge and the kitchen was perfect to cook in even for 12 people!

Excellent Location

The house is great, but the location is even better. Walking distance to the beach. Walking distance to food and shopping in Rose Mary and Alys beach. The pool in the community, which is fantastic, is right off the back porch. Highly recommend the house and area.

Great location!

We really lucked out with this location! With 6 kids under the age of 7, we were so fortunate to be located facing the big open grassy area by the pool. Many evenings were spent watching the kids play while the adults could relax on the back porch. And the free tram to the beach was a big hit. We hardly had to drive at all while on our week-long trip, which was super convenient. Only issues were that the oven took forever to preheat (hours) and never really baked things as much as we’d like. The dishwasher also didn’t do a great job, so be sure to pre wash items. Otherwise, no complaints and we’d visit again!

Wonderful!

We loved the home and location! House had large rooms for us to cook, eat and visit. Some used the pool or went to the beach. Others enjoyed a bike ride!

Didn't go on vacation to wash dishes

Dishwasher didn't work, washer and dryer didn't work. dried food stuck on the walls. cabinets are broken and the shower drain clogs so you can only take a 5 minute shower. Some furniture is broken.

Great house in wonderful location!

We stayed with my husband and two kids (14 and 11), very spacious house with everything you need. The property manager was very helpful and answered any question I had right away.

Love the property

We went during slower season. Love the tram option. However we didn’t use it. The property is close to the beach. Nice walking distance. When we called about what was in the house as far as towels etc our questions were answered right away. Towels. Soap. Shampoo. Limited toilet paper. Etc are all included. Check out was 9am. Wish it was a little later. But it is doable. The neighborhood location feels safe. Clean outside and house was in great condition. We would definitely look at staying here again.

Thanksgiving at Emerald Escape

Great location overlooking pool. Sleeps 10 easily without any pull outs but living room/great room comfortably seats 5 and dining table seats 6. For holiday like Thanksgiving, not enough chairs to all watch football together or sit at table together. We made do, but would have at least liked some folding chairs. Otherwise, great house. Had a great time.

Very good service

This experience with the home and rental company was my first. I’m very happy with both. The house was nice and being around 50 steps from the pool helped. The rental company was easy to work with and supplied all information in a timely manner. They also answered my questions within minutes which was great. We had a great time and would recommend this house/company.

Great place to stay however

Couldn’t have been a better location to everything! With the pool just behind the property and restaurants and shops near by. I am surprised there was not a welcome pack with a few groceries as we have always experienced this with other homeaway properties would have been a nice touch. We received a ‘violation’ note from security due to a white hand towel drying on the side of the front balcony which seemed a little extreme. We were there for a family wedding and to relax however was slightly spoilt as your constantly being watched be it by security, property manager or pool attendants!

Fun spring break

Great location!! The house was clean and had everything we needed including bicycle helmets. Being close to the pool and grassy area right out the back door was nice. Neighborhood and area felt very safe and the owners were very welcoming. We had two families with 5 kids total and we had a great time. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location but needs updating

The management company 30A Escapes was great and very accommodating, the unfortunate part is that we had to use them. One of the beds broke and needed to be repaired; the grill was unusable (rusted out) and needed to be replaced. Toilet paper holders kept falling off and bathroom faucet handle was falling off too. There was some trim and wall damage in another bathroom. Just disappointed in the conditions of the home for the price we paid. Apparently it’s being fully remodeled next week but that was not apparent when I booked the house. We love the area and will be back but maybe not to this house (depends on the renovations).

Great Location!

So many positives about this home. The location is fantastic as it backs up to the pool and a grassy area the kids can play in. It is so wonderful to be able to see if the pool is busy or closed. The dining room table is large and just perfect for playing games. There is plenty of space inside and out. And it was so fun to have bikes there waiting for us. Also, the tram stop for the beach is practically next door. Really, these are all reasons to stay here. We enjoyed our week and might consider returning. A few minor things - there is no way to lock the back door so you have to go out the front and then walk around. This problem was solved for us by Wednesday but we do wish we knew ahead of time that we would not be able to lock the back door going to the pool ourselves from outside. The curtains/rod are flimsy in the master and all came down on me one morning as I was trying to open them. It is also nearly impossible to open the door to the upstairs porch. I was never able to do it on my own. The home would be so much nicer if there was not carpet on the stairs and all throughout the upstairs. And the couch in the main area is very uncomfortable with the back pillows ripped at the top. All in all though, the house was clean and we did not see one bug inside the whole week. Between that and the location the other stuff is minor. If some updates were made, we may rent it multiple times a year. This isn't going to be that house for us but we still may return. You just cannot beat the location. And a big thanks to the cleaning crew as they seemed to do a great job!

Pretty beaches ok house

We loved the area there were some problems with the house that never did get resolved which was a bummer. We also had security tell our teenagers on 2 occasions that they could not be outside after 8pm without an adult which we did not know before we stayed there. We did talk to local police who said there was not a cerfew and there was nothing in writing anywhere. They still were told to go inside when out playing soccer after 8 pm. We wouldn’t come back after knowing that as our older kids liked exploring after dark. Our TV never did work in one of our bedrooms even after calling it was never fixed and we had a bunch of light bulbs out that never got replaced. The dishwasher would act up occasionally and internet was spotty at times. The house was big enough for all of us which was great. We also could not hang things outside to dry which was a drag for environmental reasons and there was NO recycling which blew my mind.
