Welcome to The Groovy Dolphin Escape—a one-of-a-kind two-home beach getaway designed for bringing family and friends together. Professionally designed with a fun 1970s California surf vibe, every space feels relaxed, colorful, and inviting.
Whether you’re gathering grandparents, several families, or a group of friends, everyone has room to spread out while still spending time together.
Set on one of the larger private lots in Bid-A-Wee, the two homes surround a private resort-style backyard where everyone naturally gathers. Spend the day at the beach, relax by the pool, soak in the spa after sunset, then gather around the firepit while the kids play cornhole on the turf game lawn.
Best of all? It’s just an easy walk to Bid-A-Wee’s private gated beach access—one of the quieter, less crowded stretches of Panama City Beach yet still within walking distance of restaurants, bars and entertainment!

Together, the two homes comfortably sleep up to 15 guests, making The Groovy Dolphin Escape perfect for family reunions, multi-family vacations, girls’ getaways, golf trips, and beach vacations with friends.
Mama Dolphin – Sleeps 7
• 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms (shower/tub combo)
• Recently remodeled with a brand-new kitchen, updated flooring, new furnishings, and fresh coastal décor

Baby Dolphin – Sleeps 8
• Brand-new construction
• 3 bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bathroom (bunk room has shower/tub combo)
• Every bedroom also has its own outdoor shower—a guest favorite after a day at the beach.
The two-home layout gives everyone room to recharge while still vacationing together. Early risers can enjoy their morning coffee while others sleep in, and everyone comes together again for meals, pool time, and evenings under the stars.
Your Private Backyard Resort
The backyard is the heart of The Groovy Dolphin Escape—and where your group will probably spend most of its time.
You’ll find:
• Resort-style heated pool and spa
• Outdoor kitchen with grill (constructed by early August, currently grill only)
• Covered outdoor gathering space
• Firepit conversation lounge
• Synthetic turf cornhole area and room for yard games
• Plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing and spending time together
Whether you’re grilling dinner, watching the kids swim, playing cornhole, or relaxing around the firepit after another beautiful Panama City Beach sunset, it’s the kind of backyard that brings everyone together long after the beach day ends.
Comfortable Coastal Living
Every room has been professionally designed with a relaxed 1970s California surf vibe, blending comfortable luxury with playful coastal touches.
Both kitchens are thoughtfully stocked with cookware, dishes, and the small appliances you actually use, including:

• Crockpot
• Toaster
• Tea kettle
• Coffee bar
Both homes include washers and dryers, and we provide a steamer instead of an iron.
Traveling with little ones? A Pack ’n Play and high chair are available for your stay.
We also provide complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, stevia and basic spices to help you settle in after your travels.
Location
Located in the quiet Bid-A-Wee Beach community, you’ll enjoy private gated beach access without the crowds while still being just minutes from Panama City Beach’s restaurants, attractions, shopping, and entertainment.
You can easily walk to several local favorites, including:

• Moe’s BBQ
• The Salty Hobo
• Hidden Lagoon Golf & Racetrack
• Fun-Land Arcade
Pier Park, Aaron Bessant Park, Frank Brown Park , grocery stores, and dozens of restaurants and bars are just a short drive away.
The home also offers excellent access to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) via the new airport connector (shortcut!), helping you avoid much of the beach traffic on arrival and departure days.
Whether you’re planning a family vacation, reunion, girls’ getaway, golf trip, or multi-family beach week, the layout gives everyone room to be together without ever feeling crowded.
Parking is available for up to four vehicles, plus room for a rented golf cart (golf cart not provided).
Pet Friendly
We welcome well-behaved, approved dogs with a $200 pet fee per approved pet.
We built The Groovy Dolphin Escape to be the kind of place where families return year after year—and where today’s kids someday bring their own families back. We’d love to be part of your favorite beach memories, too.
A Few Things to Know
• Ring cameras monitor the exterior entrances for security, both video and audio.
• Coffee and other consumable supplies are stocked for approximately the first four days of your stay.
• Internet service is provided, but like any internet service, occasional outages are outside of our control.
• Please supervise pets outdoors, as we cannot guarantee they won’t find a way under the fence.
• Bid-A-Wee is a quiet residential neighborhood, and we ask guests to respect both the home and our wonderful neighbors; outside quiet hours are 11 PM to 8 AM.
• Heat for spa and pool is a separate charge, upon request only ($70 per day).
• Strict cancellation policy - please consider travel insurance for those unexpected life issues!
Before You Arrive
To comply with local requirements, guests complete a simple rental agreement, ID verification, and choose one of two protection options through our secure Happy Guest portal:
Option 1: Damage Waiver ($61) with accidental damage coverage up to $5,000. Coverage up to 10 nights, +$7/day for longer stays, and provided by a third-party insurance company.
Option 2: Refundable $4,500 security deposit hold (Refundable temporary hold that releases after your stay)
In order to process these requirements, we use a secure and simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. Your guest portal includes advertisements with upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay. These upgrades are optional and include:
Early Check-in, if available: $40 per hour. Less than 1 hour there is no charge, if available.
Late Check-out, if available: Noon check-out, $125
Happy Guest also gives you access to your digital guidebook with house information, local recommendations, and optional upgrades like early check-in or late check-out when available.
