Beautiful, safe and welcoming!

We absolutely ADORED Carillon Beach and it’s many amenities. It was a beautiful and serene environment with beach access directly across from the homes. The homes were clean, well stocked with necessities, and ready to go upon arrival. Our communication with the host was superb. These homes & Carillon beach itself checked off everything we wanted in a vacation. We will definitely look to stay again!!

Lovely house with plenty of room

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was great with plenty of room to spread out and it was very well appointed. We had one small issue - needed a new light bulb and the property manager was very responsive. They texted back almost immediately. I wish we had known there was a $70/day fee to heat the hot tub...so there is not really a hot tub. We specifically rented a house with a hot tub because my husband wanted one. It may be that the hot tub can't be heated without heating the pool and we definitely didn't want the pool heated in June. One minor glitch, but not a deal breaker. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the house!

Another great trip to Carillon!

We have been vacationing in Carillon for 20 years. This was our first time staying in Rock Lobster & Love Shack. The location can’t be beat- Steps from the beach walkover! The pool is fantastic. One word of advice before booking this property, especially a large group- pay close attention to the description and photos of the common areas and sleeping arrangements. This layout is a bit different from other beach properties. (The property manager, Karen, reviewed a lot of this with me when I booked the house) Speaking of the property manager- she is great! Very prompt responses from booking the reservation and throughout our stay.

Family beach trip

Rick Lobster was very nice. My family rented love shack which had a broken washing machine and dryer and no internet. I ended up doing all of my family’s laundry which was annoying for them and me. Neighborhood is lovely and it was great having a private pool and easy access to the beach.

Great house!

This was a perfect house for two families. The location was great, right across from the beach walkover and water views from the second and third floors. The pool was so nice to come back to after a day on the beach!!! As others have said, the living/dining area was a bit small but overall the house was great and fit our needs perfectly! Will definitely stay again!

Great Stay, Close to Beach, Super Convenient

This place is clean, immaculate and well decorated. It is also, literally, right across from the beach access. This is the least populated section of the beach, so it’s the closest thing to how the beaches down there used to be. The house sleeps 13 easily and comfortably. The only thing that wasn’t clear is that you share the pool and hot tub with anyone who stays in the coach house named “Love Shack.” So if you want to book a large family gathering book “Rock Lobster” (this property) and “Love Shack” (the carriage house). Overall, jewel of a property, great location. Close to Publix and Winn-Dixie (grocery stores) and Wal-Greens. Highly recommend.

Perfection!!

Everything was great! Short walk to the beach, pool was awesome after long day at the beach. Loved being able to do our laundry! We have been to Destin many times, even the private beaches are crowded, this beach was so quiet and nice for our 4 teenagers it was amazing!!! No complaints from us. One more amazing thing, if you have a question or issue you can call management, they answer, problem solved or questions answered. Would stay again or recommend!!

Perfect beach home!!! Decorated beautifully, had everything you could possibly need, comfortable beds, you name it! Very safe location. One minute walk to the most beautiful beach ever! Will visit Rock Lobster again for sure.

Rock Lobster is a wonderful house. We will go back again!

Rock Lobster is a beautiful house inside and out. It was clean when we arrived and was newly renovated. My family of 10 enjoyed our stay and would like to go back next summer. The pool is very nice and the water temperature felt so good on a hot day. The beach is right across the way from the house with an easy access to walk over. LeAnn was very kind and is sending a forgotten pillow to my niece. The only complaint was the internet service but that was out of the owner's control. The house is in a beautiful community and there were no crowds!

Rock Lobster in Carillon ROCKS

We have rented houses in Carillon for the past thirteen years and this house (according to the grandkids) was awesome!! The owners became friends, the kitchen was beautiful and eating on the porch gave us plenty of room and great views. All the updates that the owners made to the house was creative and functional. The pool was a great place for the kids to swim at night and the house was right across the street from one of the walkovers to the beach. Thank You LeAnn and Greg for sharing your house - we will be back!

Great Location and Quality Home!

We enjoyed our time at Rock Lobster! First time stayers in Carillon, and really enjoyed the area. The Location of this house is completely worth it! We went with our 3 year old and it was wonderful. No lugging all of your stuff to the beach. We didn't even have to wear shoes to walk there. You walk10 steps across the street to the pavilion and then 30 steps off the pavilion and the beach chairs are right there. The home itself is finished wonderfully! Kitchen has nice new appliances that all work great. Also a blender. Plenty of room on the first floor to unload and store your beach gear which keeps the sand debris to a minimum on the 3rd and 4th floors. Bathrooms are all nice and clean with wonderful water pressure after a long day on the beach! We also enjoyed having the private pool and hot tub right there. Was great for adults with kids that nap, so we didn't feel trapped inside half the day! The owner was very accessible and answered the few questions we did have promptly. Overall a wonderful stay and we would definitely recommend this house to friends and family and would stay again!
