“Unique hotel with a lot of charisma. Access to a garden and other open spaces in the main building makes it feel like staying at someone's home rather than in a hotel.”
“The only reason I gave cleanliness a 3 is because house keeping doesn’t clean the room during your stay. I prefer places that offer daily housekeeping service. The front office staff was very friendly and even offered a few dining recommendations during our stay with them. The mattresses in our room could use some updating due to a bit of sagging in the middle of the bed as I’m sure they have a busy location. Other than that the stay was pleasant ”

We arrived at 9:30 pm and there was no one at the reception; they just left the keys and an emergency number to call. The shower in one of the rooms didn’t work; the room’s décor was so excessively golden and overdone that I wondered if at some point it had been a love hotel, and on top of that it was already outdated. I really don’t understand how it has such a high rating.”
“We had the best time staying with Edward and his family at Captain's Quarters in Fort Bragg. Edward was so hospitable from the moment we arrived to the beautiful home & instantly made us feel like a part of the family. The Captain's Quarters was a beautiful property with historic & meticulously maintained rooms, located a short ten-minute walk from Downtown Fort Bragg and just a little bit further to the beach. “It is a simple motel, with anything you need. Chrck in process is done with the Mobile, so there is no one on the property.
Evrything was nice, not very updated, bit more than enough to sleep. It was a good selection.”

“What a great place. The owners were friendly and greeted us with chocolate chip cookies. The room was super clean and the grounds well taken care of. You can tell the owners take pride in their property. There was a bar/grill next door with a gorgeous view of the ocean, a convenience store next to that and I'll will stay with them next time we go thru San Simeon. This place is a gem and highly recommend staying here.”
