“The bush block is beautiful and our dogs loved exploring, though the house is old and very cold. I contacted Martin twice about the split system heating not working. He did not offer to help out or get it repaired. Luckily the fire heats the house well after collecting kindling off the block. The number is not displayed at the front gate which makes it very hard to find, especially in the dark. The bathroom is old and cold with a permanent open window. The toilet seat is loose. “Was a nice stay with a great garden”

“Property was comfortable and pet friendly. Is close to the town centre and beach. Check in process was a little more complicated than we have experienced with other properties but was manageable. ”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the location. Morning beach walks with Carmello was a highlight. Thank you ”

“NOT NEAR BEACH- beach a couple of kilometres away. One window couldn’t lock, another hadn’t been locked. Therefore, security an issue. Outside seating area had leaking roof, wetting chair cushions. Rooms & bathrooms were clean. Loads of games. TV large screen. Dining area spacious. Kitchen well equipped. Wonderful to have large garage providing safe area to pack and unpack, ready for days out. Excellent laundry and area to dry clothes ( including drying rack when raining). Overall great stay,...

“Overall an excellent stay at the keel retreat the only downside was the windows not cleaned but after contacting the host this was resolved immediately”

“Property was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Location was close to beach and main town. Very quiet area. Host communication was great. We all enjoyed our stay would highly recommend.”

“The check in was great; was given key box lock code the morning we arrived. The home was clean and had everything that we needed. The bedrooms were of a good size, even though we only used two of them; we kept the other one closed so our dogs wouldn't go in and explore. The only thing was that the light above the stove in the filter didn't work.It was nice and quiet even though it backed onto Gifford Road. Thanks for the stay.Sandra”

“The house was a great size and set up well. Didn't think it would matter but clearly it did for us - having no back yard. We thought being winter it wouldn't matter as much but it did. Other than the little nook to sit in it was lacking in that aspect. Also the mold in the primary bathroom/on suite was not appealing and also more important not ideal for people with health conditions. So that was a big negative for us. My daughter is an auditor with the Health Department and was horrified...
