We chose to use the private transport for both the arrival and departure (5 suitcases is a bit much for my family to carry). Afterwards, the public transport at the public dock was good ($10Q). “My husband and I had been staying in Antigua with a bunch of friends. We had been hiking and site seeing. We wanted a few days of just us. We loved this house. Quaint. Cozy. Excellent views, lovely garden with amazing outdoor spaces. A Tuk Tuk ride to any neighboring town. This home is a gem!”

“Stayed here in 2020 and finally made it back. The house is elegant and well-furnished, with two large bedrooms that both open onto a deck with gorgeous volcano and lake views. You are also looking down into the tree canopy so great for birders. Very private and spacious. Hope to return.”

“We loved our stay. It was very beautiful and peaceful. The staff brought us a delicious breakfast each morning for a small charge. The only negative is not knowing in advance about the very steep and long cement path from the road to the cabin on the lake. Anyone with physical disabilities could find it impossible to manage.”

“Stayed here with my family as we explored Lake Atitlan. It's truly an amazing house with views of the volcanos and lake. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. Two things to note: There are stairs (~3 stories) required to get up to the house. This was not an issue for us, but it would be very difficult for physically impaired guests. The second was that their was no AC in the house, only fans. The weather was nice enough where this was not a problem. I noticed this with other listings...
