“We had a lovely 3 night stay with friendly helpful staff. Hot breakfast was cooked individually to order and would swap things around to suit you. I had read about slow service but if you aren't in a rush the pace is relaxed. Nice old building but good modern bathroom. The only downside was wanting to sit outside as there was not a handle to get back in and some people kept shutting the door tight.”

“Really nicely furnished and decorated room and bathroom with a lovely comfy bed. A vast bath and shower, a separate seating area for two and a nice hospitality tray. It would have been a great room to catch up on some work if I had needed to. It was also really quiet; I had been a bit worried about this as I have stayed in some pubs where the noise in the room has affected sleep. Some of the furnishings were a little tired. “We had a good stay. Really enjoyed this accommodation and where it was situated. Except the shower, hardly any water coming out of it. Food and staff at this place are excellent ”

“Attic room, was nice, however not so great if you are tall. Even at 5ft 8, and partner 6ft 3 spent alot of time bent over avoiding hitting our heads. Bath was spectacular! Room was warm, and restrictors on the windows, so unable to get any air flow. Bed very comfy! Cafetiere and Illy coffee was a lovely touch Was a bit disappointed breakfast was included, but had to.pay extra £4 each for a full english. Food was good though. Staff super lovely.”
