“Everything was clean and comfortable. Cozy little cabin was perfect for 2 adults and our dog. Loved the rustic feel. Also we liked the town and neighbors. I wouldn’t describe property as waterfront though a small river channel is visible. Beach access is a quick drive. Appreciate the communication w/ the property owner. ”

“Big enough for everyone to have privacy but not so big you wonder where everyone is. I want to go back! ”

“The house was very clean and cozyCentrally located for excursions to pictured rocks and beaches. We visited the wildlife reserve didn’t see much wild life but it’s a beautiful location. We also took a canoe trip down the manistique river where I fell in the river. Very challenging river to navigate.The only thing missing is a washer and dryer.We had a great time and would visit again.”

“The place was cute and cozy. It was very conveniently located too. Host did allow us an early check in which was helpful as we drove from lower MI and were estimating arrival and made better timing than we anticipated. Family loved the DQ across the street too. ”

“Dear friends,Jim and I really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Cove. We rested, cooked fancy meals, read books and enjoyed the lake.I promised to let you know if there were items that needed attention. We noted the following:1. Lower corner cupboard of the SW corner of the kitchen needs a new hinge.2.The vacuum filter needs replacing or a good cleaning.3. Window mechanism in the SW corner of the living room needs repair. Some windows do not have handles.It would be nice to have at the cabin:1....

“This small, newer home was great…nice sized bedrooms and bathroom, beautiful kitchen and living room. Very clean. Well insulated so we didn’t hear traffic much at all. Would definitely stay here again!”

“This was exactly what my family and I needed to have a wonderful stay in the U.P. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed (washer/dryer were so nice to have also!!)We enjoyed fishing on the dock (caught quite a few fish) and my kids even completed a puzzle to kill some time in the evening. There weren’t really any neighbors during our time there, which made for a quiet and peaceful stay. Only complaint the amount of mosquitoes outside the cottage. Otherwise, this was by far the nicest...

“We had the best time during our stay! Cabin is comfortable, has every kitchen amenity you could wish for, & the free access to kayaks was a huge plus for us! All of the mattresses were super comfortable. Cindy was a great host & Poe, her dog, was the sweetest! The location can't be beat! We enjoyed kayaking the Au Train River, Brownstone Inn for dinner, Bay Furnace for rock hunting, Capt Ron's Whitefish truck in Munising is a must & Au Train Grocery has the best pasties! We hope to return next...

“The place was very cute and very welcoming. I loved how they had things labeled everywhere so you knew where things were or what to do the pictures on the website. Don’t do it justice. It’s much cuter in person. We really enjoyed it. We were only there two days, but if we were to ever come back up that way, we would definitely stay there again And I’m gonna be telling my kids about it so that when they go up to go snowmobiling, hopefully they can stay there.”

“Perfect Home Base for Waterfall Adventures!The Tin Shack was exactly what we needed for our trip: cozy, comfortable, and incredibly well-equipped. The kitchen had everything imaginable, including a crockpot, air fryer, Instant Pot, drip coffee maker and a Keurig. Whether you’re planning to cook full meals or just brew a quick cup of coffee, you’re covered.The cabin itself was spotless and clearly well cared for. The surrounding property was beautiful, with plenty of space to explore and unwind....
