“We are not strangers to the area, my wife having grown up in the area, but each time we stay on the Chesapeake we feel at home. The Hideaway is so nice that you don't want to go back your actual home! It is furnished as if it is a year-round residence, no cheap or mismatched furniture and appliances. “This place is the bomb!! We had eight adults but it would be perfect for a bunch of children as well. Awesome covered porch and deck with an unobstructed view of the ocean, and all like a hundred feet from a new boardwalk to the beach. Crow's nest is cool with a 360 view of the area. The host has about every beach toy and need you can think of in the gaming/carport area. Comfy beds, nice kitchen, and relaxing living room. Would rent again in a heartbeat! “We had a wonderful few days at the Little House as part of a longer week exploring VA and WV. The cottage was inviting and well equipped (even Band-Aids!). The property was tranquil with great water views. It was in a secluded area yet a short drive to nearby towns. Not much to do in town, accept visit the lighthouse. Bay access is not far on foot if you want to launch a canoe or kayak. Our only gripe was that AC is listed as an amenity but there were no AC units. Maybe they are available in the summer, but it was hot for half of our trip (mid April) and we could have used AC. “This home sits right on the water! It is beautiful! We watched ships roll by, ducks bobbing on the water, and flocks of geese flying and landing on the water. The view from both lower and upper decks are amazing! We spent lots of time on the decks even though it was cold - we just covered ourselves with blankets. “The A-frame cottage was clean and comfortable. I was accompanied by my son and two grandchildren (ages 12 and 14), and we really loved it. We went fishing in bay at the beach area below the cottage, and also did a lot of fossil hunting along the cliffs, which are breathtaking. Our host Teresa was extremely helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!”

“My friends booked a last minute staycation to catch up in one place. This place had all the amenities to bring groceries and hunker down for the weekend. The grounds were gorgeous and all the home spaces were cozy. Also, the owner was incredibly communicative before the stay and when we had a few questions during. I hope to find a reason to stay here again in the future.”

“Location is magical. Water views and nature views abound. Porches, open areas, views galore. On a quiet point, with a creek meets river, almost ocean like feel. It is a very special place. “I booked this rental for a week to fish from my kayak because it was a waterfront property with access to the bay. There is a huge ma and pap hunting/fishing store 10 min away that I would recommend to pick up bait and gear.
