When we arrived at 4pm someone was in the unit vaccumming and explained housekeeping staff had an emergency and did not clean our room. We were asked to wait until he finished after a 3 hour drive and with 2 young kids, one of which has compromised health and a disability.When we went in the unit it was unclean: ketchup and wine stains on the kitchen table, urine and pubic hair on both toilets, pubic hair in the shower, shabby towels, dirty bathmats. All of which prompted us to clean the unit ourselves and buy our own towels. Needless to say I did not feel confident sheets and other necessaties were properly cleaned.There was no parking permit and the door did not lock using the keypad as instructed.We communicated all of this to the company, who responded promptly and pleasantly, however, did not follow through on their promise to have someone clean the home.When we looked through the check-in binder, information was contradictory to what was emailed. Further proof the property was not cleaned/turned over was the check in information from the previous guest which included their email, full name, and payment details.It was centrally located with a beautiful view but nothing trumps basic cleanliness especially when they charge guests 250 for a cleaning fee. I would not come back and would not recommend it. I felt anxious and grossed out during our stay.
