“House had not been recently cleaned. The inside of the kitchen refrigerator had to be cleaned. The bathtub had dead flies in it. The laundry room refrigerator had 3 rotted cabbages in it. The kitchen freezer had a pie shell in it, an open can of what looked like bacon grease, and an ice pack that had mold on it. Pots and pans had burnt residue on them. “Quiet, Peaceful, absolutely beautiful setting. We stayed in Earth room. If you can envision days gone by where a family lived in one room and stories were told by the fire- this is a modern day version. We loved that all of us were together versus siloed in separate rooms. We also thoroughly enjoyed the gardens and trails around the property. There are many places to sit and connect with nature. ”

“While at our stay our electricity went out and we contacted Jamie who immediately responded telling us that it was a neighborhood problem and gave us a time frame to expect the outage to last, hoping we would get the electricity restored sooner than later. “The apartment should be listed as apartment and not entire house. The apartment was very clean and easy to access. There’s plenty of food and bars to go to in immediate area. The downside to this is if there are people occupying upstairs you WILL hear them and not by a little bit either. Also there is only ONE way in and ONE way out which is a safety hazard considering if something were to happen in the kitchen people would essentially be trapped. The parking pass was expired. “This house is lovely, well stocked and comfortable. Beds were clean and very comfortable. The drive from the Richmond airport was super easy until about the last two twisty miles; if you are arriving after dark, study the map so you know what to expect. I loved that it was so close to Shenandoah National Park.
